i have a sister in law whose 4 year old has the nick name Tina. He has an older sister who is best friends with my daughter and he is always around girls. He has dressed up in dresses with them, played with their dolls, but its not a big deal. He still is a boy and has his cars and tractors etc. I'm sure all or most boys will go through this stage and it doesn't necessarily mean they are "gay" or going to be, if that's your concern here. I'm a believer that children are born gay and if that's how they are going to be in the future than let them. We cant control who we love or who we are attracted to and that's that. Let kids be kids. We wouldn't be concerned if our daughters wanted to dress up in boys clothes or play with cars, so why are we so concerned when boys do it with girls things.

I've got two little brothers and when they were both younger (1-4 years old) they always went through my mothers' and my stuff all the time! At first we thought something was up, but after talking to several parents in our neighborhood, we found out it's completely natural. I mean I used to wear my dad's boxer's when I was a kid and no one thought anything of it. So why worry about the young boys who go through their mothers and sisters stuff? They're just curious.

My clothes no, his sister's yes. He's 6 and she's 13 so she has all kinds of pretty outfits and he really likes to wear her clothes. I think part of the problem is that he does get hand-me-downs from her if they are unisex so he doesn't realize that not everything she has is OK for him to wear. He also really likes to wear my heals. I know that he knows the limit though because once his dads girlfriend tried to put mascara on him because he has beautiful eyelashes and he freaked. He told her I'm a boy I don't wear that. So I'm not overly worried about him.

No. But if he was a little kid-who cares.

If he was a teenager I would question it.

If he were an adult- I would hope he was going to a costume party.
