If your son seems like he could try going down to 1 nap a day there is no harm in trying it out. If he is kept busy in the morning he might be ok with waiting until after lunch to go to sleep. He might still need two naps even at 12 months, but by the time he's 18 months old, he will more than likely be ready for a single hour-and-a-half to three-hour nap in the afternoon. You can also try alternating one-nap and two-nap days, depending on how much sleep your little one got the night before. You can also try putting your child to bed a little earlier on one-nap days. Until your son is two years old he still needs 14 hours of sleep a day, 11 of those hours at night. Hope this helps!

My son started making the switch to one nap a day about a month ago (at 18 months). It was hard at first becuase his body knew he only needed one nap, but it didn't know for how long. So he would take just one 45 minute nap in the mid-afternoon, and none in the morning as he was used to. He was very crabby for a while, and we started putting him to bed an hour early because he was so tired! But his body has adjusted now, and he's back to normal.

Just my opinion, but I think at 11 months you should still be aiming for 2 naps. Children under 1 year need much more sleep than older toddlers.

I switched my daughter to one nap a day at about a year old. She would just sleep two hours at that afternoon nap which was awesome by the way.

Every child is different. My daughter was about 18-20 months when she went to one nap a day. Now she sometimes skips naps (she'll be 3 in January). She sleeps a lot during the night though.

Well they're all different, but my daughter is 18 months and still takes two naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. He will let you know when he's ready to skip the morning nap, it will become harder and harder to get him to sleep. When this happens, try keeping him up until the afternoon and see how he does.

My son is just about 1 year old and he has a similar schedule. Sometimes he'll stay awake until lunch time (12) and then take one longer nap until 2 or so... but that only happens about twice a week right now... that is where we're "pushing him" though. I just mean that if we can, we lean towards that one nap... so he will learn to do it more often.

Usually around 18 to 24 months old. Your son has a good nap schedule already. Best wishes to you
