Do you not think that is a bit simple? After all, man invented a car but you're probably turn around and say god gave us the knowledge.

My question is, if God does everything then isn't our existence just simply his? If he provides everything, including things we make (since he gave us knowledge, thoughts, everything), then isn't it just him doing it? Wouldn't your line of logic state we don't actually exist.

It's like saying someone's arm built it even though the mind commanded it to. In my example, the "arm" is "man" and the "mind" is God. In other words, they are all one.

A little help because I find Christians, especially stating that we don't understand Gods logic (which is a failure to understand logic, itself), are confusing as hell and everything seems made up on the spot

Oh, and replies that don't actually examine anything or just mere proof you have nothing. Thanks for proving that. At least you're good at proving yourselves wrong

So, Tube, we're God then?

"A little help because I find Christians, especially stating that we don't understand Gods logic "

Who is the "we"?

Who would claim to understand Gods logic, what is being said by Christians is, you don't know Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior.

Well, since we cannot examine God then we cannot come to the conclusion that he is mechinical. We can examine, cars, man, arms... and come to the conclusion that each of those are mechanical, biologically mechanical or technologically mechanical, both still carbon based mechanics.

After coming to this conclusion God can not be thought of as a mechincal working being, but something more perhaps, sophisticated on the brink of later and more defined consciousness. It can be described in such was as we set things in motion. God set us in motion and then let go. Now if a car had a consciousness then that car would be able to control itself, would it not?

That is the diffrence between (man and an arm), also (man and a car). Our "invisible" consciousness that we "think" we have. You cannot prove that we have a consiousness because it can not be examined in physical aspects, but our consciousness is what controls the neural transactions in our brains, which in turn, then controls our movements (ie. arm to control a car) I think therefore I am.

From what I read in the Bible, God isn't the only one who gave us knowledge.

And you can't read the Bible and really think that human reason isn't a part of things.

When you asked," My question is, if God does everything then isn't our existence just simply his?"

YOU GOT IT!!!!

So many people miss that. Since I am a Christian, I claim that my written source is in the Bible. So this is what I have as a text:
1 The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;

2 for he founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the waters.
( Psalm 24 )

You got it exactly right!

Funny thing is I've always wondered the same thing. It seems that you wouldn't be able to take any credit for the good things that you have accomplished in your life or the things that you have did good in. Its like you do the work and someone else gets the praise for it.

People explaining events using "God did it" is essentially the same as parents telling kids to do something "because I said so." It's an excuse that people use when they are not able or inclined to express their logic.

May be the following will give us some perspective:

"The world has had its great teachers, men of giant intellect and wonderful research, men whose utterances have stimulated thought, and opened to view vast fields of knowledge; and these men have been honoured as guides and benefactors of their race. But there in One who stands higher than they. We can trace the line of the world's great teachers as far back as human records extend; but the Light was before them. As the moon shines by the reflected light of the sun, so, as far as their teaching is true, do the world's great thinkers reflect the rays of the Sun of Righteousness. Every gem of thought, every flash of the intellect, is from the Light of the world."

Christ said, "I am the light of the world."

"The creation belongs to God. The Lord could, by neglecting man, stop his breath at once. All that he is and all that he has pertains to God. The entire world is God's. Man's houses, his personal acquirements, whatever is valuable or brilliant, is God's own endowment.... We cannot have a thought without Christ. 'In Him we live and move and have our being.' Acts 17:28. We cannot have an inclination to come to God unless He sets in motion influences and impresses His Spirit upon the human mind."

Gods ways are not mans ways, his surpases
all understanding. He has given free will,
and talent to each.. to use , what you choose
to do with yours, you should do to the best ability
you can. You have children and try to bring their
talents out, but when they grow up and do things
on their own, its not the parent doing it, they just
helped raise them to be useful.

You don't seem to understand the concept of free will. (Either that or you are accusing Christians of not understanding it.)

God does indeed share our existence, and He does provide everything, including our human intelligence and creativity. But He never forces us to invent cars or build cities. We do that our of our own free will and the knowledge that God gave us.

How does that make "just Him doing it?"

God and we are, on the deepest existential level, all one.

Even if God does exist, I think you have a good point. ¨God helps those that help themselves.¨ But why can´t it just be that those who help themselves help themselves? God doesn´t need to control every aspect of our lives, and I´m doubtful that he does.
