i can be talking to someone and be ok, but if they say while they are talking the words '' all the time '' and '' your not there''....i get upset, offended, and have to part company.
why is this?

My guess is anger, frustration and the expectation that people should be aware of what they are actually saying. "All the time", how can anything except time be "all the time"? There will be "many times" when you experience and are witness to phrases being uttered, that just don't make a lot of sense. I have learned to ignore some of the remarks, and when it is important to my communication, I try to restate what the other person is saying to give clarification to myself and to also help another achieve a higher level of awareness.

Maybe your negative emotions linked to those phrases have something to do with your past. Does it remind you of someone? A time period? A place? The only person that can answer why you feel what you feel is YOU. Take a look at what you think about when a person says those phrases. If you have a problem with self evaluation then maybe you could find something to help evaluate you professionally. Good luck either way :)

If something this trivial causes you to react so negatively that you want nothing to with the person, you need serious professional help.
