Hi everyone

Are there any sufferers out there that are taking vitamins or herbs to help stabilize the condition?

Such as fish oils or any particular vitamins?

Thanks in advance.

I am afraid none of these therapies have been shown to be any better than placebo. There was quite a prolonged fad for giving B12 injections, fuelled by a mixture of alternative therapists and Chinese whispers. It took quite a long time to finally convince people that it didn't work. The most long lasting, but unhelpful therapy, that was said, again incorrectly, to help, was hyperbaric oxygen.

The main problem with MS is that it relapses and remits, with or without any so called treatments, making it difficult to assess the effects. Very large, carefully controlled studies are needed to ensure that any improvements are real, rather than due to chance.
