Yes, hospital employees learn that the best way to get rid of an odor is to get rid of the source. However, a lot of the new public toilets won't flush until you rise or the flusher is in a place you can't reach until you stand up. Are they trying to save on their water bill?
Another thing a lot of people aren't aware of is that restrooms without paper towels just hand dryers do not promote sanitation, only neatness. Once you wash your hands in a public restroom, you should use a paper towel to turn off the water. The water hydrant is one of the first things people put their hands on after taking care of their personal hygeine at the toilet. McDonald's is guilty of not providing paper towels and just think, their employees who handle food are using the restrooms. They should also use a paper towel to open the door when leaving the restroom due to people who do not wash their hands.

I have been in public restrooms with weird notes. Leave one that states they need to flush during a drop to save the noses of the employees. (Make them laugh but get the point across.). The last one I saw asked that toilet paper be put in the toilet and flushed. Make a sign in bold letters and hang it up. People will read and laugh but get the hint.
Oh, YES, I do.

I agree with the person above. I avoid public bathrooms at all costs. I've never had to courtesy flush yet.

LOL
I try not to do what would need a courtesy flush in public restrooms. I've found most of them dirty and wouldn't sit on the toilet if you paid me.

confident! basically because of the fact the door is close, does not propose the others can't smell it! have faith me on that one! (One place I worked, the boys's room became into on the 2d floor, and shall we smell a million guy whilst he became into in there...and we've been on the 1st floor!) to those asking: Courtesy or Mercy flush = flushing as quickly because of the fact the product hits the water, or as quickly after as accessible, to cut back down on noxious smell.
