FALSE! How can you claim to be Muslim and never pick up the Quran? My sisters boyfriend claims to be muslim too but never picked up a Quran and the only thing he practices in Islam is not eating pork........sorry a person just claiming they're muslim or just not eating pork absolutely does NOT make them Muslim. In my opinion, these people are doing it for "fashion". A true muslim reads the quran, prays 5x's a day, fasts for ramadan and celebrates Eid, etc etc etc....I have read the quran cover to cover, i have also read the bible cover to cover....that doesn't make me muslim or christian but, i believe anyone who is truly a religious person either way has an obligation to do so. I don't consider someone who has never picked up a bible a christian either, how can you claim to be something yet not study the word of God? Unless you are illiterate. Saying, "I'm Muslim" or "I'm Christan" doesn't buy you a 1 way ticket into the Pearly Gates!

Barely any Christians have read the Bible cover to cover.
I can see why now- any that has isn't a Christian (or they're a murderous lunatic in an asylum)
So, the statement is exactly the same as Christianity and is TRUE.

Being A Muslim is about believing and knowing in your heart. Many people know the Quran from hearing it recited...The Quran is actually meant to be recited over being just read...
How many Christians or Jews never read the Torah or Bible and still are Christians and Jews? They also learn from hearing it recited like in sermons.

Reading Koran is one of the good deeds and its part of the Islamic religion as well. it is Islamic source and most important it is light that lighting your face .It is a medicine for heart disease .
Believe, therefore, in God and His Apostle, and in the Light which we have sent down. And God is well acquainted with all that ye do.

False - How are you going to understand one of the oldest religions and not know any of its teachings.
*** sh chap. 12 p. 296 IslÄm—The Way to God by Submission ***
The Six Pillars of Belief
1. Belief in one God, AllÄh (Surah 23:116, 117)
2. Belief in angels (Surah 2:177)
3. The divine books: Torah, Gospel, Psalms, Scrolls of Abraham, Qur’Än
4. Belief in many prophets but one message. Adam was the first prophet. Others have included Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and “the Seal of the Prophets,” Muḥammad (Surah 4:136; 33:40)
5. The last day: when all the dead will be raised from their graves
6. Belief in destiny, its good and its bad. Nothing happens that God has not decreed
*** sh chap. 12 p. 303 IslÄm—The Way to God by Submission ***
The Five Pillars of Islam
1. Repeat the creed (shahÄdah): “No god but Allah; Muḥammad is the messenger of Allah” (Surah 33:40)
2. Prayer (á¹£alÄt) toward Mecca five times a day (Surah 2:144)
3. Charity (zakÄh), the obligation to give a percentage of one’s income and of the value of some property (Surah 24:56)
4. Fasting (á¹£awm), especially during the month-long celebration of Ramaá¸Än (Surah 2:183-185)
5. Pilgrimage (ḥajj). Once in a lifetime, every Muslim must make the journey to Mecca. Only illness and poverty are licit excuses (Surah 3:97
*** sh chap. 12 p. 296 par. 25 IslÄm—The Way to God by Submission ***
The principal teaching of IslÄm, for utter simplicity, is what is known as the shahÄdah, or confession of faith, which every Muslim knows by heart: “La ilÄh illa AllÄh; Muḥammad rasÅ«l AllÄh” (No god but Allah; Muḥammad is the messenger of Allah). This agrees with the Qur’Änic expression, “Your God is One God; there is no God save Him, the Beneficent, the Merciful.” (Surah 2:163, MMP) This thought was stated 2,000 years earlier with the ancient call to Israel: “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.” (Deuteronomy 6:4) Jesus repeated this foremost command, which is recorded at Mark 12:29, about 600 years before Muḥammad, and nowhere did Jesus claim to be God or to be equal to Him.—Mark 13:32; John 14:28; 1 Corinthians 15:28.
