Jehovah's Witnesses go door to door sharing the news of Jehovah God's promises that were made possible by means of his son Jesus Christ.
Jesus is very much apart of our lives and beliefs. However, we do not ignore that Jehovah is the Almighty God and that his name would be made known. As Jesus prayed to his father at Matt. 6: 9 "Our father in the heaven, let your name be sanctified...." As Ps 83: 18 brings out "That people may know that you whose name is Jehovah, you alone are most high over all the earth."
The scriptures you site are about actually witnessing an event. They witnessed or actually saw that Jesus was resurrected and ascended to heaven. Just as you may witness a car accident. This did not mean that all they were to talk about with people was the fact that Jesus was resurrected. There was much more to the message that Jesus taught.
The word witness can denote two things. Actually witnessing an event or to give testimony. We give testimony to Jehovah's sovereignty.
If what your are saying is true, why is it no one has come to my door witnessing exclusively about Jesus? Or why does everyone else (not JW) ignore any references to Jehovah?

The first century Christians were disciples of Christ Jesus. As are the modern day Jehovahs Witnesses.
What did the first century Christians preach about?
What did Jesus preach about? AND
What do modern day Jehovahs Witnesses preach about/
JEHOVAH GOD'S KINGDOM AND THE BLESSING IT WILL BRING FOR ALL OBEDIENT MANKIND.
Mark 1:14;Luke17:21;Mat.13:1-52
The scriptures you mentioned regarding Christs resurrection refer to the fact that the diciples were literal witnesses to Christs resurrection because Jesus came and was amongst them after his resurrection,so they can say they 'witnessed' Christ rising from the dead.
This is different to the actual 'work' carried out by Jesus which he also taught his disciples to do and commanded all his followers to do - Mat.28:19,20
Who sent Jesus to earth to preach to mankind?
Who is the Sovereign of the Universe that oversees all things?
It is non other than Jehovah God.Jesus is the Son of God and the mediator between God and man.

We do have a responsibility to be witnesses for Jesus. That’s why Jesus’ role in God’s purpose is emphasized in our publications. (Revelation 1:5 - . . . Of whom was Jesus “the Faithful Witness”? (John 5:43; 17:6.) . . . Jesus set the example that we should imitate, did he not? . . . It is so important to get to know both Jesus and his Father. (John 17:3.)
With reference to Jesus Christ, the Bible states: “These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God.” Of whom was he a witness? He himself said that he made his Father’s name manifest. He was the foremost witness of Jehovah.—Revelation 3:14; John 17:6.

Both.
The Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses:
Christian ~ Christ +
Jehovah ~ God = The 'Christian' Congregation of
'Jehovah's Witnesses.'
Lead by Christ, to teach & preach the Kingdom of God.
We do not deny the Son,
or that the Son was raised up by Jehovah God.
We fully acknowledge his accomplishing God's will.
Jesus came to earth to teach & preach the Kingdom of God.
And if you ever took up a Free home Bible study you would find this (and many other things) to be true.

We are witnesses of both--Jehovah God and Jesus Christ, because Jehovah and Jesus each bore witness to each other.
For example, Jehovah bore witness to the fact that Jesus was his Son when he spoke directly from the heavens on several occasions, saying: "This is my Son." And, Jesus, by his entire ministry, bore witness to his Father. Because the Jewish nation was already considered to be Jehovah's Witnesses, when the Messiah came they needed to become his witnesses, too. And that is exactly what the Jewish converts to Christianity did. Christians indeed became witnesses of Jehovah and Christ.
If you read the entire book of the Acts of the apostles, you will note that even though they primarily bore witness about Jesus, they also continued to speak about Jehovah and to quote heavily from the Hebrew Scriptures that were primarily associated in the Hebrew mind with Jehovah God.
The fact is that Jehovah and Jesus are in complete union, so that it is impossible to witness to one to the exclusion of the other. That's why Jesus said that he who honors the Son honors the Father also-- not because they are the same person as Trinitarians imagine-- but because they are united with each other. In recognition that Jesus and his Father are one in purpose, Jehovah's Witnesses are witnesses of Jehovah and Jesus Christ.

It is true that we have to witness about Jesus. But this doesn’t mean that we don’t have to witness about his Father.
Heb 12:1 – we have a great cloud of witnesses
Rev 3:14 – Jesus is a faithful witness. Jesus doesn’t witness about himself but his God, the Father(John 5:31)
1 John 1:2 states (yes, the life was made manifest, and we have seen and are bearing WITNESS and reporting to YOU the everlasting life which was with the FATHER and was made manifest to us,) 3
So in short, true Christians should bear witness of Jesus and His Father also.
That's why JWs always share John 17:3 for example, to get knowledge of Jesus and his Father.

And according to Isaiah 55:4 Jesus was a Witness of Jehovah.
Isaiah 55:4 "Look! As a witness to the national groups I have given him, as a leader and commander to the national groups.
5 Look! A nation that you do not know you will call, and those of a nation who have not known you will run even to you, for the sake of Jehovah your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he will have beautified you. "
that was written 800 years before Acts and inspired from the same inspired the book of Acts.
Jesus came to do Jehovah´s will that what he told in the whole chapter of John 17.
Do you obey Jesus? he told you to worship only his father in John 4:23-24, he is the son of the most high (Luke 1:32) and the name of the most high is Jehovah (Psalms 83:18).
that is why we woship Jehovah cause we love Jesus and obey him (1 John 2:3-5)
Aren´t that verse in all the bibles in the world? yes they are ...maybe you haven´t read it but not you have more bible knowledge.
By the way do you know what date Jesus died for your sins? do you know that all JWs know that as easy as 2+2=4?
Nisan 14 Year 33, that is the date.. Do you know where is that in the bible?
Would you like to see it?
GOT AIR: Yes and sure in Ezekiel 28:11 was talking about Tyre ´s Kings instead of Satan? Jesus is seed of david that ´s why the bible says that David is his father, who is the father of Jesus David or God ? according to your reasoning is David.. then why you are preaching about Jesus if he is just a son of David?
Revelation 1:5 calls Jesus "“the Faithful Witness"? witness of Who GOT AIR? of God almighty and his name is Jehovah.

I think you are on to something.
What is the context of those verses?
At this time who were the first century christians, in the first 8 chapters of Acts?
Jews, Thus These verses are talking to Jews who already had a strong faith and belief in the only true God, Jehovah.
Since they as a nation were already dedicated to Jehovah
They as a nation were to be called Jehovah's Witnesses in harmony with Isa 43:10.
They the Jews needed to learn about whom?
They had to learn about Jehovah's only begotten Son Jesus.
So according to these verses they were already witnesses of Jehovah.
In your quote of Acts 13, we find they are witnessing about God (Jehovah) who raised whom? Jesus, So His (God's)
witnesses, witness to the people.
30 But God raised him up from the dead;
33 that God has entirely fulfilled it to us their children in that he resurrected Jesus;
34 he (God) has stated in this way, . . ., ‘You (God) will not allow your loyal one
35 served the express will of God
37 On the other hand, he whom God raised up
We are to witness about God (Jehovah) raising his Son (Jesus) from the grave.
Thanks for the bible study.

They were witnesses to the fact that Jesus was resurrected, that Jehovah resurrected him from the dead. As Christians we do have a responsibility to be witnesses for Jesus. That's why Jesus's role is emphasized on our publications. This new publication we just receive at our "Follow the Christ District Convention" entitled."Come Be My Follower" emphasizes Jesus's role in the outworking of Jehovah's purposes. But here is something that may be a new thought to you. Rev. 1:5 speaks of Jesus as the faithful and true witness. Of whom was he a witness? John 5:44 also said of Jesus, I have come in the name of my Father, but YOU do not receive me; if someone else arrived in his own name, YOU would receive that one. Also at John 17:6 Jesus said “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word. Whose name did He (Jesus) made manifest? At 1 Peter 2:21 we are told that Christ died leaving us a model to follow his steps closely. He made Jehovah's name known, he was the faithful and true witness, he told us to worship his father God, (Matt. 4:10), and since we are to follow his steps closely, we are also to be witnesses not only of Jesus, but of this father Jehovah.

They were of Jehovah. They respected Jesus as their lord and savior. Jesus is Gods son. He was a teacher. His purpose was to teach about his father and to give his life in order to save man kind. In return God promised Jesus he would one day rule as King. Which he has been since 1914. Which we see in revelations that there were signs of the last days when Jesus would rule as king. That's why when Witnesses pray they pray in Jesus` name. Not directly to Jehovah. I hope that helps you out. In fact I'm not really sure the answer you were looking for. Why are you interested?
Actually some of you should take time to read the bible and a witness book.In fact they do very much believe in the bible and Jesus which does Categorizes them in the Christian faith. They do not speak in tongues, cause lets face it people who do are stupid and it is a silly practice.Instead they come to your door in order to do what Jesus himself did. He was a teacher and talked to everyone about the word of God. When you go to the Kingdom hall, there aren't priest there that take your money nor molest your children!!!!!Maybe next time they come to your door you "Christians" should show a little more compassion for people who take time out of their lives to save yours !!!
Another thing... Take a look in your own bible and see Jehovahs name there clear as day. Why is it, if they are so wrong that they use his name when refering to him, which is more personal then going to a Church who refers to him just as "God"?
Actually "GOT AIR" He was refering to David as an example. David was a faithful servant of God and he was rewarded greatly..
And yet "Truth has set you free" you are an apostate and still you do not use the Name Jehovah. Jesus infact is the Angel Michael. But he was once a human. A perfect human who Witnesses DO acknowledge. When you go to your "Church" Do you even use your bible or do you just believe everything the preacher tells you? Can he back up what he says with actual historical events? Or does he just ask that you leave \ money before you exit out??? Funny you said you were once a witness and yet I know more then you... Hmmmm....
