Without snakes, there would have been no "Snakes on a Plane"...

You know I don't know. But imagine how many more rats we would have though... I live in the bush, in a weird way I'm kinda happy that the snake s are around to balance the equation a bit.
The snakes eat and go away. The rats eat and come back for more. If they don't find food, they move on to your clothes.

I like snakes.

There are over 18 families, 464 genera, and more than 2,700 species of living snakes.

So Noah would have had a lot of snakes on board.

A snake is just an animal. It is not inherently evil, any more than a goat or a kangaroo. That creature in the garden of Eden was described as a "serpent", and was in fact Satan in disguise. Not a snake.

Well, ignoring the fact that the entire ark story is completely impossible...

Snakes are very beneficial to the ecosystem. Snakes eat mice and rats, and provide food themselves for many other animals. If there weren't any snakes, the ecosystem would be severly messed up.

Just following orders!

Snakes eat mice, and some snakes eat other snakes.

Cuz God told him to:
Genesis 7:1 After that Jehovah said to Noah: “Go, you and all your household, into the ark, because you are the one I have seen to be righteous before me among this generation. 2 Of every clean beast you must take to yourself by sevens, the sire and its mate; and of every beast that is not clean just two, the sire and its mate; 3 also of the flying creatures of the heavens by sevens, male and female, to preserve offspring alive on the surface of the entire earth.

So maybe the snakes were unclean. God told him to get every animal. He had to preserve all of them. I do not know what to say besides that. Hope that helps. :-)

Snakes are a very maligned creature..You might be up to your ears in mice if it wasn't for them..They are not slimy evil or dirty and they are some eco-good guys.

Or two fleas for that matter? lol

God told him to bring two of every animal. There were probably animals Noah would like to have left behind, but he obeyed God. Additionally, every animal was integral to the ecological system from whence they came.
