From "death from above":
"do you find men and women being treated equally NOW ?
what EXACTLY is your point other than to piss on christians ?
Also, why not address your *question* to Jews and Moslems, do you think they treat women equally ? Women CAN NOT read Torah in the temple, did you know that ?
no intellectual honesty and no cojones, amigo ? I thought so...
BTW, I like your avatar, it perfectly conveys who you are..."

I get angry because not only are you questioning my faith but it makes me. Then I get into the books and really look harder. In the long run you teach me to be a better Christian. If the word mad is part of it, it is because something I know to be true is being questioned. Of course, in my own view, I don't question yours. I accept that you have chosen your path of life. In the end, we will deal with what happens when it does. Someone once told me that there was no way to prove heaven exists. I said that sure there was and I will prove it when I get there. They then said, what if you are still wrong. I said, then you win. Personally I know where I am going. Thank you for allowing me to state my opinion. Please note, I am not trying to shove it or my beliefs onto anyone at all. you have been given freewill. Use it as you choose.

I'm doing a test.
See my question in R&S about Atheism and Evolution being false.
Its just an experiment to see if Atheists get mad and inflamed when Christians piss all over their beliefs.
Should be fun :-)
EDIT: The test is complete! Atheists get angry as well!!!

My opinion - many of the ones getting inflamed and mad are insecure about their beliefs. Some are simply sheep to the slaughter and I'm sorry if my answer offends.
Sometimes examining your own faith can strengthen it profoundly and we should welcome contrasting beliefs as a way to prove our viewpoint... I think here of my 5 year old who gets frustrated when he doesn't know how else to deal with something and throws a tantrum. Great Question!!

I believe in GOD, the almighty. I will never get mad or inflamed when an atheist questions my belief in GOD. I believe in GOD, not because that I blindly believe what my religion taught me, but I am convinced that there is a super power beyond the limitations of this universe which we call GOD.
Questioning my faith in GOD is not atheism my dear. Who gave u the idea about GOD ?. You got that idea which itself proves the existence of GOD because naturally u can not think of anything which never existed. The atheists are doubting the existence of GOD, not the believers.

I don't mind you questioning my faith. I mind being called:
ignorant, you skanky, witless drudge, very time you speak you remind me of how smart I am!, stupid and idiotic,NO WONDER EVERYONE HATES CHRISTIANS, simple-minded cult, narrow-minded, mostly arbitrary moral code, crude thinking skills, easy for the extreme right to stroke and manipulate, clinically neurotic state of your psyches.
That is not a challenge to my faith that is a prejudiced attack. It isn't only Christians that are being verbally abused it's Jews, Muslims and Pagans..I have seen such crude and vulgar statements to all. I would find it easier to believe you were tolerant open minded free thinkers if your speech was a bit less biting.

Because many Christians entire identity is wrapped up in the existence of God.
They are told from birth that they were created uniquely and with a special purpose, and if you question the existence of their God or their belief in that deity, you are challenging their ego directly.
It is one thing for you to tell me, my belief about the nature of gravity is wrong, its another for you to tell me I am not unique and my life has no meaning. Thats personal, and what many of them hear.

A lot of people get like this. I am a very religious person and often get into debates with non-believers and believers of other faiths.
I'll never lose my temper because, to be honest. What would be the point?
