I'm not sure about that though I've heard about tainted fish being imported from China. Why does the US import food from China? Because you have Chinese businessmen who want to sell to the American market. That is the short of it.
I have not seen any food imported from China so far but I have seen a lot of fruits imported from South American countries.

should have posted this in category 'Politics and Government' or 'Travel-United State section' what's on your mind?
In this section, your Q. should be 'Why does China export food to US?? The american are in a food shortage?'
you don't even sound like an American.
