I really don't think so. I believe that a strong Russia is safer than a weak, broke and unstable Russia. I do not believe that Putin needs to be viewed as a threat to anyone. If Russia wants to flex their military muscle a bit and make some long range flights, good for them! It will keep everyone elses pilots on their toes and give some good live training for our airmen (and women). Although Putin does not have the best track record when it comes to civil rights, I think the country needs to embrace democracy slowly, since all at once failed miserably!

Like all Leaders he has a population too keep as happy as possible and an economy that aids in that happiness. Having been victims of Islamo Fascists themselves I would guess that his real feelings are subdued. Iran owes his government a lot of money. It would be bad business to encourage any combat operations. The US, Russia and China need each other. Like brothers they bicker. They still get together and hug after each fight.

Iran speaks loudly because they have NO stick. Do you think the Kremlin wants those morons to be armed with nukes that could be pointed at their Infidel butts too?????

The US gov't has put a multi-billion missle defense shield that may or may not work in place right next door to Russia. Russia has been attacked more than once from the west and a reportedly 12 million people killed in WW2. We seem to be the ones restarting the cold war.

Probably. But that doesn't answer the question
who's fault it is. What would we say if the Russians
had 20.000 troups right off of the coast of Florida
and another 130.000 in Mexico while they are installing
ABM Systems in Canada? Oh. Wait. We did say
something to that a while ago. I think it was pull the
troops or we're going to level Cuba.

America has always had an enemy and will always have an enemy. WWI it was the Axis Powers, then it became fascism, then it became communism, and now its terrorism. Some believe that this is done in order to keep peoples' attention away from current events within the country. I believe now that the war on terrorism is fizziling out and terrorists aren't in our country blowing everything up, people need someone new to hate/fear. Why not resort back to old enemy like Russia in order to keep people from thinking about Iraq?

In my opinion, the media and some certain events have made it look like the cold war again, and maybe politically that is the case, but militarily I think our armies will soon be working together, and training together. So I think the cold war will not happen again.
