I have this guy friend who i have known since jr. high. And we have always been close friends....we even tried being friends with benefits before....well now he is single, and i really wanted to ask him what he thought about us trying to date...to see what it would be and where it would go, but i don't know what to do or how to approach him!!! He and I are reallllllllllll close and i don't want to mess up our friendship.
P.s. He and I can talk about anything...literally anything!!! Should I be brave and take that leap, or just stand back and let it be?

it really depends on how much you are willing to risk. yes, you guys talk about everything, but say you guys break up, what would happen then? if you really, truly like him then i say go for it. however, if youre just looking for a relationship and figure that hes the best bet because youre so compatable, dont. if your reason is the latter, chances are things wont go well and then youre stuck with an exboyfriend and not a great boy friend.
