Hi Bebe,

I do not think religion will die. I think it will ultimately evolve as mankind evolves. The current religions of the world still cling to many archaic rituals, sacraments, and superstitions. As society and education progress, so too will the concept of "religion" evolve and be redefined in people's lives. Religion is such a stabilizing force in society and culture, it do not see it being removed but it can evolve into more rational constructs. There are so many people on this planet, I find it hard to imagine that anytime soon, we could expect so many people to lose religion as a part of their lives. If religion died, I think people's sense of morality would be reduced to social ethics and enforcement which isn't as cost effective. It is cheaper to have someone believe in God and be good than it is to pay for more police officers do you not agree? :)

Education overcomes superstition.

The more education and knowledge a person has, the less likely he is to look to a mythical being to do the job for him. At some point, he will realize that if he wants something bad enough, he has to actually work for it.

He will reach a point in his education where he can plainly see that there is absolutely no indication that god exists or that there is a heaven or hell.

He will understand that the bible or torah or koran were written by uneducated and ignorant men who had no concept of the world around them - or the naturally occuring events in their lives. These men invented mythical beings to explain events they could not understand.

When Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom, there will be no religion, just the Word of God, the Holy Bible.

I don't really believe that, but I suppose Time Travel far back enough would explain alot... I don't suppose you would actually see god making earth, but if you just saw a big thing, endless years ago, you wonder "Where did it come from?" But then again, "Where did god come from?" Who knows? People have many beliefs.
