I'm sure they'll say no, and maybe even give you scriptures to prove their point of view. Unfortunately, they don't realize that this is the exact same reason Jews rejected Jesus. God told them not to follow anyone that taught against what he told them, regardless of miracles or signs. He said he would allow people to perform those things as a test of their faith (I won't get into the omniscience violation issues here). Plain and simple, if Christians reject your bible based on belief, they have no right to say that Jews are wrong to reject Jesus, or anyone else is wrong for rejecting the christian faith.

That would depend.
Here are some reasons we Christians believe the Bible to be the word of God:
1. Prophecy. There are thousands of them, and nearly all have been fulfilled.
2. It wasn't written by one person, but by many different people, and yet follows pretty much the same theme throughout. Most Christians try to steer clear of writings by one person that claim to be divine.
3. It actually enlightens and inspires. Think of how many hymns and how many poems have been inspired by the Bible. Think how many books of philosophy and theology have been inspired by the Bible. Many of the people whose shoulders we now stand on were inspired to knowledge by the Bible.
4. A person can read one verse out of the Bible fifty times, and still get something new out of it.
Sure, some people have used the Bible for bad...but anyone can be deceived.
Now, if you could write a new "holy book" that could do all that, and mean as much to people as the Bible does, then MAYBE people would follow it. Otherwise, you'd be just another of what Christians consider to be false prophets.
You couldn't just SAY it's the word of God. You'd have to prove it. And to us, the Bible has been proven to be the Word of God.

I'd at least read it... I wouldn't "follow" it. ;-) Would you write it in the same style Thomas Jefferson did his? lol =)
As for one answerer here stating that the KJV showed no difference to the Dead Sea Scrolls - just shows you never read the Dead Sea Scrolls. There's only ONE complete book in the Dead Sea Scrolls that's even in the Bible and that's Isaiah... the rest are fragments of different books. The Dead Sea Scrolls were priestly writings of the Essenes and contained several things of which are not found in the Bible at all. Other things found there were scraps with laws written on them. The War of the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness.
Geez!!! Does anyone read up on this stuff? Or do they just take this kind of info for granted because it's supports their personal view?
The KJV isn't the most argued about version. It is KNOWN that verses were added to several bibles, (including ones written before the KJV). The KJV was NOT taken directly from the codex's except for a few things, but it was done solely on those codex's. For crying out loud people, read up on your own friggin history!

No. It wouldn't be worth the paper you printed it on. The KJV Bible as we know it is the most contested book in the world.
It has been through great criticism and it has stood the test of time. It is the inspired Word of the Living God. It was so carefully transcribed by hand that the Dead Sea Scrolls showed no intentional differences. These means maybe a t was not crossed, but the interpretation was the same.
The False Religions today have enough of the Bibles rewritten that you are talking about.

i began out with "The living Bible", which turned right into a paraphrase into on the on the spot's language. It become so comfortable & elementary to appreciate. now and again it may take years before someone grows into liking the King James version. yet another elementary study is the NIV (New international version.) They even make NIV student Bibles! the recent American time-honored (NAS) is likewise very extremely understood. in case you want words, and the English language, then the Amplified version is relaxing because it clarifies it. at the same time as i turned right into a baby, i wanted to study the Bible so undesirable, although the KJV annoyed me at situations, and that i might want to placed it down. that is constructive to understand that there are different translations/revisions obtainable. i imagine the options are a robust element, no longer a foul one.

Not a good idea. Actually, there has been a Bible out that
is updated for present times. Changes all the "he's and
she's" to it, and a bunch of other stuff. But, I also need to
tell you it was a flop....hardly anyone bought it. I worked in
a Bible bookstore and know it for a fact. So, perhaps you'd
like to use your talents doing something else.

No, I wouldn't follow it. Nor would I suggest writing one. It says in Revelation to add or to take away from this book is to bring all the curses down upon you. I wouldn't want anyone to have that happen to them.
The word is eternal, it is quite relevant for today, Just as God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Most would ignore you, some would rever you, and if it lasted long enough, people would use it as an excuse to kill people.
BTW, you don't actually have to do the stuff mentioned above... just tell people you did. ;-)

Walk on water, ascend into heaven, make it rain or snow, and then take a bit of dirt and make a person out of it. Let me witness these things.I don't think so my dear. Don't play with God. His wrath may be more than you can tolerate. Now go and repent and get back on track.
