I've seen zillions of examples of this in my life. I am very weak.
I've been using this scripture with my young women to tell them to make personal progress goals based on areas they need to improve. The girls who will actually do their personal progress and who have accepted the challenge to ask God to show them their weaknesses have had some amazing results. One girl had a really big gossip problem and after some pondering, decided it was due to a lack of self esteem on her part. So she has made several goals both to stop gossiping and to develop her talents. Watching her change has been so inspiring. She used to have a hard time holding on to friends at church but now everyone seems to flock to her. That's just one example of many.

Oh, how does He humble me- let me count the ways!....
A huge one is my infertility ISSUE (yeah, it's a big issue for me)...
I've wanted to be a mom since... uh, since I was told that kittens grow up to be cats, puppies grow up to be dogs, and little girls grow up to be mommies. The heartbreaker happened when I was 18 and found out that I won't ever be pregnant (Do NOT start with the potions and positions- they WON'T work!).
Since then, I've had humbling experience after humbling experience.... Hopefully, these humbling experiences will make me a better mom when I do become a mother (adoption, fostering, other opportunities to work with kids).

Many - this scripture is one of the most personal in my life. It gave me a greater understanding of the atonement of our Savior and how it applies in my life. In my moments of weakness/trial, once I have done what I can, my Savior steps in and through his strength, I can conquer the world. It's a very heady thought. A very comforting knowledge. Although, often when I teach this scripture, I bring in Lamoni, father of Lamoni - and his declaration that he would give up all his sins to know this Christ, Jesus. No temptation in this world is greater than the desire to know our Savior. And once we know him - we become strong through his Atonement. It's a beautiful scripture filled with hope and love. btw - thanks for a new verse of the day!

I am being humbled SO MUCH. lately.
I can't even EXPLAIN all the ways--but I KNOW it is God.
I am just GLAD taht I love God SO MUCH and that I KNOW it is Him.
He is working things out for my good!!
My character will be much stronger, when I get through this humbling.

I don't need a God to be humbled, and neither does anyone else. Things humble me everyday. What's God got to do with?
Hey if you say humble too many times it starts to loose it's meaning! Try it, its funny!

God does for me what I could never do for my self, Most certainly I had to surrender to Him before my weakness's
became my strengths through His amazing grace.
All is in spite of me.

God, and other human superstitions, have very little effect on me.
correction on that - they certainly effect my sense of amusement on one hand, and feelings of despair on the other.
