I am looking to get all of my x-rays from the last 2 years. I would need both pre-op and post-op. Being as they are all now scanned directly into the consultants computer. Is payment required or can I just ask and they will provide me with a disc of the x-rays.

It depends on the facility. Where I work, we put the x-rays on a CD, which includes the report, free of charge. If you want actual films, they cost money.

Your question is a legal question, no longer a medical one. in my opinion, i do no longer trust that is proper to have annual value schemes for affected individual care. I understand why some chiropractors do it, yet what you're experiencing is a likely effect of it failing. First, why couldn't the chiropractor in basic terms charge you $40 5/visit from the starting up? Why is it that you mandatory a 365 days of therapy to get a situation fixed? in case you wanted health care or perhaps supportive chiropractic look after persistent, recurrent issues, or for any accumulation of back indicators, why no longer in basic terms pay for it visit to visit? because: what in case you may want to recieve care that made you properly sufficient such that you probably did not opt for to pass back on a weekly foundation?? So, Cinde, you may ought to ask a legal specialist about your contractual association. As a healthcare specialist, i might want to recommend you in searching a diverse variety of therapy application. Sorry i could not help you more suitable with this.

Just enquired this morning for x-rays of my broken leg. Advised to write to the radiology service manager at the hospital. They said there would be a small charge. I am going to do this now.

The xrays are thier property ( the hospital's) the information they provided is yours. You can call medical records and ask that they provide you with copies of the radiology reports that were generated from those xrays, but you can't get the xrays themselves. Your doctor can call the hospital and ask that he be loaned your xrays so you can see them, but he will have to send them back.

I used to work at a radiologic clinic. If patients want a copy of their films, they would have to be charged for it. Check with your doctor.
