Scientific answer : dusts are derivation of stone that has been eroded, abrated, corroded, or anything else.

Qoute from Wikipedia :
"Dust is a general name for minute solid particles with diameters less than 500 micrometers. On Earth, dust occurs in the atmosphere from various sources; soil dust lifted up by wind, volcanic eruptions, and pollution are some examples. Airborne dust is considered an aerosol and can have a strong local radiative forcing on the atmosphere and significant effects on climate. In addition, if enough of the minute particles are dispersed within the air in a given area (such as flour or coal dust), under certain circumstances this can be an explosion hazard.

Coal dust is responsible for the lung disease known as Pneumoconiosis, including black lung disease, which occurs among coal miners. This danger has resulted in a number of laws regulating environmental standards for working conditions."

Gezzer answer : It came from anywhere~~!

It is estimated that humans lose 30,000 – 40,000 dead skin cells each and every minute. Furniture fabric, bedding, and clothes release fibers every time they are used or disturbed. Pets also contribute to house dust by shedding skin cells and hair. If your home is carpeted, there are even more fibers being released into the air. This is just indoor dust. When doors and windows are open, dust comes in from the outside.

You both reminded me of Seinfeld! :-) Just enjoy the debate...I don't know the exact answer...you can always look it up online..but forget the people who said you both have nothing else to do. I think discussing stuff is a good idea. Just make sure you both dont start fighting over it...keep a good attitude, an open mind, dont put each other down...and dont get ur ego in.

I read that most of the dust found in households is comprised mostly of dead skin cells that we shed constantly.
