They help keep the environment clean by feeding on decomposing things. Imagine what a place the earth'd be without them! Thank God for maggots!

Well, maggots do good work.... along with other scavengers they happily "do the dirty work" of breaking down decay & waste so that life grows from it again...

Ever hear about how maggots can be used to clean festering open wounds? They only eat the dead flesh, so the healthy tissue can heal- look it up!

Maggots do serve a purpose. They were used back in the Civil War days and are still used today to help clean dirty wounds. I have personally assisted with this and it's GROSS, but effective.

maggots are fly larva and they are now steralizing them and using them in medicine to help heal wounds that weren't healing.
God has a reason for all of his creations including maggots and cockroaches. His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways He says that in His Word the Bible.

Maggots grow into flies, flies eat the matter in the earth that needs to be removed for the preservation of our health. Remove maggots and flies and there would be a lot of dead and decaying matter for us to wade through every day!

Maggots are good too, they are the garbage men of the world. If it weren't for them and all other decomposers, we would have rotting stuff out for days or months. Yuck! Don't assume something is not good because it seems gross, everything on earth plays its part.

they are great at disinfecting festering wounds because they only eat dead flesh leaving the living flesh to recover- this used to be standard medical procedure in this country and is still used in the third world-- AND IT DOES WORK AND MAGGOTS DO SAVE LIVES
