Everyone blushes at different things, so it can be very personal for each person. Sometimes people blush when they think of things that embarrass them, or when people compliment them or stare at them, general because they are feeling insecure or not really sure about the compliment or why someone is looking at them so intently.

A lot of boys blush the same as girls. It is caused by embarrassment for whatever reason the person feels.
Could also be high blood pressure.
My ex had this problem when he was young and actually got a night job because he got red if people even talked to him, and he thought at night no one would notice it as much.

If this has only happened once or twice, it may just be because something awkward happened; you had a rip in your jeans or something like that. If this is a more frequent occurrence (and you're sure she knows about your involvement?) than she might like you and is either trying to hide it (If she knows you're taken and doesn't want to ruin it and / or embarrass you / herself) or trying to give you hints for you to figure it out. Just continue being her friend and make it really clear the boundaries between friends and more-than-friends. This is not the time for intimate hugs... well, you get my point. Good luck and if all else fails, try asking one of her close girlfriends, just to be sure.

it mean a lot... when you compliment a girl, it can meant that they embarrassed and enjoy the compliment... when some good looking guy look at them and they blush it means that they were already observing that guy and want a responds, and suddenly the guy look at her and make her shy...
good luck bro... have a nice day...

Possibly that he's allergic to you... hmm. No but seriously, it could mean he thought you were checking him out or maybe he's self conscious about something and he thought you were looking at that something.

Could mean that he was hot, and the blood moved to the surface of his skin to cool down his body.

it means their peripheral capillaries dilate to allow more blood to rush to their skin, hence the colouration of blushing, but again, i'm coming from a physiologist's perspective

it was as u say. and if a guy checks me out, i blush! when we are complimented, we blush, and when we are embarrassed, having sex, or under stress, we blush, it is a woman's way.
