Only if you are screaming like a northern banshee. The southern banshees are too laid back to be considered much of a threat. The eastern banshees are the kind who will stand around your work place and drop hints like "This is a rough neighborhood....Might be a good idea to invest in some, uh, 'protection', ya' know what I mean?". Of course, a west coast banshee would not run screaming up and down the hallways throwing pens... They would run from office to office screaming and re-decorating!

You might as well at this point....with the impending layoffs and all. But don't throw the nice pens, you want to take those with you when you go. Try to stick to the pencils with the dried out erasers, and maybe even throw in some white out.
It might be fun to wear a spooky mask too. Halloween is just around the corner, just because you're stressed that doesn't mean you don't need to partake in the holiday spirit. When your boss asks about the tantrum, just say it's a "Gate Night" thing.

I agree with all the mental picture was great but you may not have a job for very long. unless the boss leaves the office for a while then do it real fast and sit back down like nothing happened... worse comes to worse plead insanity.

Maybe but it would probably work better if someone else did it instead of you, that way you can get alot of laughter out of them. And just hope some people with white coats doesn't come and take them away to be evaluated.Good luck, best wishes.
