Drivers have a contract with their team that pays them an annual salary, a percentage of race winnings (typical is 40-50%), bonuses for wins and point finishes, and for some a portion of the licensing revenue if handled through the team. Drivers also get revenue from endorsement deals, and most of the top drivers have their own licensing agreements and collect a portion of merchandise sales directly.
As for the pit crews, the ones employed by the team full-time receive a salary for their shop duties, plus an additional amount for being a member of the pit crew. There are many over-the-wall guys, though, that have other jobs outside of racing and only get paid for their weekend work. Most pit crews have incentive programs that payout bonuses for wins, point finishes, and overall pit stop performance.

Ok, the drivers get paid by first of all winning their race, endorsements, and sponsors. Most of them are part of a racing team. For instance Ray Evernham Racing.... he has a contract with the racers this is where most of their money comes from up front.
As for the pit crew they are paid a yearly salary, but the pit crew members also get bonuses based on where the racer finishes. And that means there have been some nice paydays as the stretch run of the season began. They also may get "over-the-wall pay" which is just a little extra incentive. They also get there travels paid. Crew chief make alot of money as do pit crews.

The driver and the entire crew are paid by the owner. The owner receives royalties from the sponsors (the stickers and decals all over the car) and they receive winnings from how the driver finishes in each race. Some races pay more than others, depends on where it is at and who the race sponsor is.
Drivers also receive endorsements from thier sponsors for doing commercials and appearances.
Hope this helps.

The pit crew gets an annual salary, I beleive. The crew chiefs and drivers have contracts. But of course the drivers also get paid from promotions and endorcements. All those commercials.

They win the race!!!
Advertisers pay for ads on the cars. People pay to get in to see the races. The drivers make a very decent living while putting their lives on the line.
I don't know if pit crews get paid.
Good luck and may God bless you.

This varies team to team.
Most drivers contracts read 40 to 60 percent of winnings.
The crews are salary employs and can range between 30,000 and 75,000 according to team and position in the team.
