If you're thinking of living there, you should really come and check it out for yourself first.

But it is a very nice place to live, at a good safe distance from any of the trouble spots, and you will feel like you are living in an affluent modern city, not a war zone!

Maskit Street in particular is great, with loads of great cafes and restaurants, just like it says in this site:

You are never completely away from the war zone, but HP is lovely.

It's one of the wealthiest and prettiest communities in Israel with a lovely and well kept beach.

I lived there in the early 1980s and loved it. I also found it very convenient busing to work in Tel Aviv, and I enjoyed the town of Herzeliya across the road.

Have you tried Googling Herzeliya Pituach? Try different spellings, too.

Oh you're talking about the Zillion ? - I wanted to go there but everytime I came it was closed - I heard it's a nice club - with house and hip hop black music - but I understand from you now that there has been violence in it so it's good to know...
I usually go to the D-bar when I go to a club in hertzlia- same music better people I guess and it's just 100 meters from Zillion and they are both open the same times.
What's so good about the Zillion anyway?

it's as far from the war zone (geographically and mentally) as you can get... unless you mean the war zone between some infantile teen age gangs, so you just got to be sure not to try and pick up anyone's girlfriend.
if your'e just going to the commercial hi-tech area, then u're totally ok.
