Do you try to make an avatar that looks like you, or is it some kind of expression?
Mine is an expression. I get lots of hate email over my avatar, but, obviously, I don't care.
Just curious

Nothing like it!!
I have salt & pepper short hair. I do not wear glasses.
The hair cut I have could not be changed to salt & pepper so I went with the fantasy.
Someday I wilI load a picture.
I like yours though why would anyone want to say something bad??

Yeah, I made my avatar look as much like me as possible. I have brown hair that length and green eyes - but it's hard of course, with only limited options, to make it really look like yourself.
I think your avatar is AWESOME! But I can definitely understand why you get hate mail for it. You've taken the unpopular side in the "war" about the Crusades!

Nope. My avatar is an expression of my personality. My real appearance is akin to what Jackie Kennedy would have looked like if she had been blond with blue eyes. If it wasn't for the hair and eye color difference, we'd pretty much look like twins!

I've always loved your avatar, and I can't imagine why you get hate mail over it.
To a point, I do look like my avatar. I'm a fairly attractive redhead, only my hair is almost mid-back. I'm as thin as she is, but I wasn't always. The confident attitude that my avatar displays is one I am working on building in myself, and seeing her everyday is a reminder for me to have a little more faith in who I am.

Mine SORT OF looks like me, but I'm plus-sized and my avatar isn't, simply because I don't like how the plus-sized avatar looks. And they don't have my hair color. Mine is sort of a honey/brown/blonde/reddish color. Or at least, it was before I started dying it. Now I have no idea what color it really is. Brown works, though.
And my eyes aren't really green, but green, blue and gold.
Whatever. I have a pic of the real me on my 360 page.

Only the hair... Mine is actually a bit longer in comparison to my body than that of my avatar... Although the color and basic all the same length style is dead on...

This is fairly close to what I look like. If I could get the pic I want to load from my 360 it would be even closer, but I think Yahoo hates me. =)

funny question! i mean, it's just that i assumed everyone did make one that either looked like them, or something more like yours (almost comic bookish)
i suppose there may be a blond out there that made her avatar's hair red, and so forth. as for myself, i am sooooooo all about looking is shop windows and sneaking peeks when i pass mirrors... i totally made my avatar to look like me as much as i could!

Yes. I made my avatar to look pretty much like me.
You won't catch me though wearing purples plumes often.
