I have recently met this guy who i really like but i don't know him that well. We have chatted a bit and the body language and eye contact between us is very positive. I get the feeling he might like me too but i don't know if i should make the first move & ask him out. I don't want to frighten him off but also don't want to miss the opportunity. What should i do? Any ideas?

Yes, make the first move. If you don't, how will you ever know if he will like you? Don't be afraid of going after what you want.

No harm in making the 1st move provided you do it tactfully. Like " There's this new movie, or park, wonder if you r free to check it out"?
Never blurt out, "I like you directly or anything unless they do their moves"
But atleast you will know if he is interested in taking it further by tackling him wisely.

just ask him out for a friendly movie or whatever you both like to do, if he is interested he will agree to it and most likely make the first move while you are out
