I have a guy friend that I'm very fond of and am attracted to him. I know he likes me but we live in different states. We stay in contact but not that often and I would love to know if this could turn into real love. I cannot stop thinking of him. We got together once, kisses and all that and now we just chat ...like friends as we havnt discussed our feelings and I cant bring myself to bring this up with him. I invited him to visit..now he is going to on his next free time...he's knee high in work. I dont want to be pushy, Im not the type. Also, we dont know each other v well but there was always this attraction/connection. We're both single & no kids.

Don't ask don't get is my policy! Take the plunge on the telephone or email if you're too shy to ask in person, but ask. However, it sounds like very early stages and if you have only seen him once then maybe some more communication is needed before it can go any further. I know long-distance relationships can be difficult ... I was in one for six years! We spoke on the phone for two years first and then had a relationship for five years. However, I didn't realise how much of a commitment-phobe he was until the end so now we are just friends again.

Why are you thinking about falling in love with someone you don't know though? Surely, the best thing is more chatting and getting to know first ... then make your mind up. Lust and love are completely different.

Go and stay with/near him for a while and see how things go. If things go well then try a long distance thing for a little while - but make sure he does most of the chasing. Then either he will need to move or you will.

When you spend more time with him, you will be able to tell if it could develop into anything. Just be paitent, and enjoy his friendship right now. Be sure to let him know how much you enjoy his company, and how much you look forward to seeing him again.
