Adara: You might remember that the godly people of Rhodesia conveniently decided that black people did not go to heaven, how's that for theistic self-interest and delusion.

I don't agree with anything that is either religious or anti-gay.

People use their religion as justification for hatred of a group of people that have absolutely nothing to do with them.

It is not religious but Spiritual, and it is not anti-gay it is anti-sin.

and to say that we are bigots makes you yourself a Bigot, it takes a bigot to call someone a bigot.

If you are going to preach about being 'tolerant' then be tolerant, that includes what you would call 'intolerant' if you are going to preach intolerance, then you would have to be tolerant of intolerance,
That means if you are going to preach about being tolerant, then you have to be tolerant of intolerance , you just don't 'pick and chose what is an is not going to be acceptable, it is all or nothing.

What should be the Christian's Response to the Homosexual?

Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love him (or her) or pray for him (her). Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.
As a Christian, you should pray for the salvation of the homosexual the same you would any other person in sin. The homosexual is still made in the image of God -- even though he is in grave sin. Therefore, you should show him same dignity as anyone else you come in contact with. However, this does not mean that you are to approve of their sin. Don't compromise your witness for a socially acceptable opinion that is void of godliness.

No, I do not agree with them. There's something wrong with a person who obsesses over what 2 other consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home. If it wasn't for the people who battle against the bigots, we would probably be in another Nazi Germany.

And as Universal Pants pointed out... don't you find it strange that the one's who scream the loudest about it have been the one's getting caught in homosexual activities? This administration has been the biggest hypocritical one we've ever had.

No. It is extremely mean to deny someone to be with someone that they love.

I am working on finding a religion right now, I would like to be Christian, but I just don't understand some of the reasonings of the things they teach.

And I do not believe that gay people can "turn straight" if they go to therapy. I believe they can hide who they truly are and lie about their orientation... but isn't lying a sin?

Not all religious ppl are anti-gay. That is the Religious Right, conservative Christians. Unfortunately they are loudest though and the ones everyone hears. They are hypocrites spreading hate and oppression, they are not true Christians.

Btw, ur not gonna get a good answer in here, most of these ppl are the conservative fanatic type I was referring to. They can't interpret Scripture yet feel they can use it to put others beneath them. To spread hate in Jesus's name is not only wrong but it's sick and very anti-Christian. And they will be judged.

- "Lord, did not we prophesy in your name?" "Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" - Matt. 7:22-23

They are blind sheep following blind leaders whose only goal is to fleece the flock in the name of a poor homeless iterate preacher named Jesus. They are to be pitied and, "Father/Mother forgive then for they know not what they do."

No, I follow what Pope John Paul II said.
The Homosexuals are sinners, but we should not despise them, or deny our help in the times of need. They are humans and should be treated as humans. not an actual quote. Is a Long way to say Hate the Sin not the Sinner plus love thy neighbor.

I am against all gays & lesbians lifestyles, or any kind of sinful lifestyle. Will I mis-treat someone, No, But I don't have to accept the things they do nor do I have to have dinner with a gay person.

I agree with God and his Son, Jesus. Imperfect men will cost you your life trying to keep up with all the sinning and immorality that man does on a daily basis. I'm going with what will bring me "life" and what is to be heeded by, the truth:

1 Corinthians 6: 9 - 11
-----------------------------

What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. And yet that is what some of YOU were.

Doesn't get any clearer about this. Please take this immoral content next time to "Gays & Lesbos Section". This section is for people wanting to know the truth about God and his Son.

Thank you.
