as it is in Italy? I live in Rome and here, even with a degree, it's quite impossible to find something better than "secretary", or "receptionist".A permanent contract is like a miracle....

yes it is very difficult to find a decent paid job in the uk as most of the jobs are going to Polish workers who work for peanuts.

In the UK a secretarial job or receptionist is a good job but the wages are terrible.

It all depends WHERE in the UK you want to live.
(DON'T believe on this government's unemployment figures...it's all bogus).
With exception of Cardiff forget Wales...it's a 3rd world country.....concentrate on the Midlands and bellow...ie: from Birmingham down.
Your degree is pretty much irrelevant...so the type of work would also make a difference....

dont know about UK but in the United States if you have a degree you can get a really nice job, even management altough it may take a few months...

Plus there are LOTS of Italians here....
