i love my country philippines very much!!!
...my all serioused girlfriends are all gone to other country and settled there!
...since 2001 i work also overseas on some european shipping companies.
...since 2005 i begun to lose my comfort here in my country,,,i even never respect authorities anymore publicly(which hurts me because most of my relatives are of government services.)i lost my feeling of trust in the government,i am losing hope from time to time.
i ask you this question because i am so sorry why i became like this...i knew my grandpa's patriotism,my papa's patriotism to my country!my patriotism back into my college days is over...i was ashamed!!!
i was changed indeed,as my country plunged to the mud of political instability.
IN THE PHILIPPINES
....you'll never know who wins or lost in the election.
....you'll never know who was fighting for the people!
....you can never trust the government!
....this country runs like hell indeed!

It sounds like you might want to consider leaving the Phillipines. Maybe you would enjoy America or Europe better.

Maybe you could work on creating a small group - like a model government and then show your government the way things ought to be done. It could shape the opinions and beliefs of your fellow citizens and eventually create reform in your country.

You are mixing up your country with the bureaucrats and politicians of your country. If you don't like them it does not mean you don't love your country. On the contrary you are a true patriot as you are worried for your country as it is being mismanaged .

I feel that way bout the USA lately and I was in the military. I changed my religion to Islam and all of sudden friends, family,
treat me like I have tea with Bin Laden. I thought this country was all about religous freedom...but I see the same corruption,lies,scandals,hypocrisy....
