If you look at the original texts and the original languages, Jesus never spoke of it. http://www.gospelthemes.com/hell.htm

Do you really think God would do this? I know some of you will say God is just, but, honestly, would this be just?

I don't think God is this sadistic...and that's exactly what it would be...sadistic.

and-the-answer, are you saying you won't explore the original texts and educate yourself?

Happy, are you saying my salvation depends on whether I believe in hell?

Jesus told the story of Lazarus (the beggar) and the Rich man. Notice this was not a parable, but a real place.

Hades - Sheol: The rich man remembered his family, recognized Abraham, who had died several hundred years earlier.

He was hot, thirsty, remembered and recognized Lazarus, could speak, and feel.

No, Hell is a real place. Right now, it is empty. The unredeemed dead (those that have not accepted Jesus as their savior) go to Hades-Sheol. At the end of time, those in Hades-Sheol will be moved to Hell.

If you want to get a thorough analysis of scriptures regarding Hell in the bible, I would recommend Bill Weise's book, "23 Minutes in Hell". You can see, hear or read his testimony on http://www.SpiritLessons.com

Hell is just the lake of fire where people and other beings, such as Satan, get thrown. Its called the second death, because your Spirit is destroyed. You could also say its the equivalent of His recycle bin.

If you choose that option, thats your free choice. Why whine about it in advance or that others choose it? You can only think God is sadistic if you know all the reasons why He chose that system and of course you don't.

How would you feel if I called you sadistic when I don't even know you and just go on a couple of thngs you say?

God doesn't make that decision, you do. Refer to the Bible, King James if you can or find a Bible w/ true interpreations witch can be checked with a Strongs exhaustive concordance of the Bible. Do not lean on mans interpretations, they will be full of guilt and doom. God lifts you, seek him & study his word. That's all you need to know. What's funny is I was given the answer I've been needing. God Bless.

The e book of Mormon talks a pair of lake of hearth and brimstone, and says that it represents everlasting torment. The everlasting torment comes from understanding which you will in no way progression. that's what it potential to be damned; this is a sessation of progression. maximum persons seem nice with that; they do no longer desire any new commandments. maximum do no longer even desire to maintain those that they understand approximately. many truthfully everyone seems to be already residing in a hell of their very own introduction, because of the fact they decline to advance spiritually, and as such are caught with the implications of their modern-day ideas and strikes. this is the classic regulation of nature; As ye sow, so shall ye gain. So while you're afraid to have your non secular progression damned for all eternity, then i might advise which you feed your spirit, and end looking excuses. on the different hand, while you're content cloth to end your progression, and not not sleep on your complete potential, then you definitely would be happy to appreciate that God has given you your enterprise to % for your self. God will rigidity no guy to heaven. i wish which you % to advance and learn, and take great thing approximately each 2d of this existence. existence is acceptable and priceless, and we are able to income very plenty from it. satisfaction is born of weak spot; God is all useful, yet has no satisfaction or conceitedness in any respect. this is our satisfaction which blinds us to the presents given us from a loving author. If we can humble ourselves, God will lead us unto righteousness, exhilaration, and happiness. Moses a million:39 "For behold, this is my paintings and my glory—to hold to bypass the immortality and everlasting existence of guy. "

I am sure there is no such a thing as Hell... Believing in hell is like believing in "the big bad wolf"... pure fantasy and old idea.

I believe we all are here to learn, improve and develop and that's why we have several lives. Once the goal is reached, we don't have to be born again, we will continue the work in the spiritual world (which I don't like to call heaven either, because it implies the opposite of hell). The one who doesn't reach the goal, or doesn't reach all of them, just come back to this world and try again... no hell is necessary!!

I like to compare God's love for us to a mother's love for her children. Believe me, a mother would never send one of her kids to hell, no matter how bad he is. Is God's love for us smaller than a mother's love for her children? No way... actually, a mother's love is just a small portion of God's love for us.

Case closed!

Peace!

i found a similar article not long ago.

http://www.tentmaker.org/articles/Hell_is_Leaving_the_Bible_Forever.html

i'm not real sure what to think of it yet, but i suppose it's worth a look. it'd be even more worth it if the lettering wasn't so tiny that it makes my brain bleed, but that's a different story. at any rate, i'm not real concerned about the afterlife at this point in time, but this stuff has crossed my mind before. enjoy.

Actually, God doesn't send anyone to hell, we make a choice to go there. And, God has the right to do whatever His will desires. He made us. When you spend your money on something and decide to burn it or whatever, is it not your right to do with it as you please? Are you not justified.

some christians don't seem to be bothered by the fact that the concept of God that they belive in, is downright evil.

Some of the "heaven" concepts some christians come up with, are pretty sick too. (primarily how they deal with the "if people I care about are in hell, how can I be happy in heaven" problem....)
