actually it is against islam to jusdge other people's religion or tell some1 that they are goin to hell, because no 1 is garanteed heaven or hell...muslim or not...so if you know what your saying you woldn't use it against me...n it is also wrong in islam to interrogate people into focing them to convert...i.e. telling them that they are posessed by the devil and that Jesus is the only was to enternal life...i get that alot n it's really distrubing and rude...

n yes i know there's alot of trerrorists that are muslims but God has not asked them to fight His battle for Him...it's a sin to kill people n commit suicide in Islam...so those terrorists are in the wrong n i do not congratulate them of their actions...

Only Gos can judge us...we need to stop judging and interrogating others.

It is not Christians that believe they will enter Heaven because they believe in Jesus as the "Savior", just like it is not Muslims who believe they will go to Jannat because they read Kalima Tayyab. Those who preach these things have no concept of their own religion.

For a place in Heaven/Jannat is only by the decree of The Almighty. No human or a true believer of any religion can claim to know the Will of The Almighty without claiming to be The Almighty which in itself makes them a disbeliever.

Much relies on faith for Christianity, just like all religions. They have a basic measuring stick that has been given to them, by their religious tenents and published scriptures that states that only followers of Christ have the opportunity to receive salvation.

By the very nature of separating followers from non-followers, there is a judgment call. What most Non-Christians don't understand is that the judgement of being Christian or not isn't the only measure. Christians all hope, and try to share their beliefs with non-Christian's, so that they have a full opportunity to truly know who Christ is and was. It is not a condemnation for not being a Christian, as much as it is a distinction that you are lacking in the understanding of how Christianity is supposed to work.

This does not mean that there are many Christians that fully understand this concept, and they too are new to Christianity and are quick to be judgmental rather than seeing the other side, that they need to offer to teach you what they believe as well as know, without making a judgment call on your salvation or lack of salvation. Not everyone is born into a Christian family. Many learn later in-life and convert to follow the tenents of Christianity, mostly because they have a good friend who is a Christian, and is willing to share his/ her thoughts and knowledge about Christianity, so that you may seek your own path to accept or reject Christian beliefs.

Jews and Muslims also believe they are saved, so it's not just Christians.

In order for you to gain that same surety that most Christians have of going to heaven, you have to learn something about Christ and what he taught, and the priesthood and ordinances he brought to the world. Of course, all begins with faith, but by exercising your faith, you gain a knowledge of the aspects of what Christians call salvation. The key and pivitol role of that knowledge is through this man called Jesus Christ (by many) and a few other names by some.

Does this mean that only Christians believe in a life after death . . . NO! But Christians have a belief in what their scriptures say is what to expect, just like Islam does, and Judiasm does. Additionally, most cultures without Christianity have a belief in an after-life, so it's really not unique to Christians only.

You need to find some decent Christians to talk about what you see, and how it fits with your own belief system. Many, many of those kind of Christians are found in the USA. Freedom has a way of giving freedom to all, not just a selected group.

Hope that can help some.

I would submit that HUMANS are judgmental, Christian, Muslin & every other kind. It's human nature, for better or for worse.

Sure Christians, and Southern Baptists in particular may be a bit more vocal about it, but most everyone judges to a degree.

In reality, there's not a soul on this planet who really knows what happens when we die, who has actually met God or who truly knows how life started, so they are all just guessing. Sure many of them use the bible or koran to back up their theories, but they are still just that.

Personally since I don't know beyond a shadow of a doubt what the answers are to those questions, I prefer to quietly have my beliefs, to live my life as a good person, knowing I will eventually find out along with everyone else.

added later ---------------

You (the asker) can claim it's against Islam to judge others, but of course we all know the reality is that many in the Muslim world are very judgemental, and seek to attack and destroy others who believe differently. Not all Muslims of course, but at least Christians gave up killing in the name a while ago.

I am Christian, and I am not judgementl at all. a matter of fact, there are alot of things that i feel are taken too literally and that the rules are too strict. I am a Christian, like I said, and you want to know my belief...I believe EVERYONE goes to Heaven. We try our best here on earth...why we have to be here on earth first, idk, noone knows. but that is my belief, so i dont want you to feel all Christians or all of any religious group is too judgemental...there are extremists and I hate that. I dont know what religion you are, and it is none of my business, but i think the same of you as i do anyone else. how does any religion know that what is being preached is the whole truth...they dont which is why you believe what you truely believe. i try and be the best person i can, i know i make mistakes, i know everyone makes mistakes and I believe God know that and will forgive us all in the end. your views may be differnt, i am sure there are other people with differnt views, but those are their personal views. wehn you meet extremists, take what they say with a grain of salt as the saying goes...you have your beliefe, you are a good person and you just follow your beliefs...I just didnt want you to think everyone was so judgemental.
PS
if an extemist does read this - do not send a nasty e-mails or anything to me...this is my belief and I am just sharing it.
But to the person who posted this question, good luck and please remember what i said. take care

Christians are judgemental. So are atheists, agnostics, buddists, muslims, taoists, hindu, the random old lady at the market, whatever. KNow why?
people are judgemental and thats how we are. If there was no religion ppl would STILL judge, just with a different reason to do so.

Its just what they believe. Some sanctions are more timid than others, but if you read the bible, the Christian beliefs are pretty intense. Most Christians these days claim to be the product of lots of hatred from everyone around them, but in fact, being a Christian in the United States, is usually more accepted than any other religion.

it is in our human nature to be such. to be judgmental.

when read history, you'll soon find out how many people got killed. carnage committed only because of defending a faith or a religion.

but i am deeply humbled by the spiritual man, who taught maximum tolerance. non violence and shared his discourses on karma.

bloodshed should never ever be committed again only just because a certain prophet or priest or a pope says so.

that only undermine humans' ability to rise up from this primitive animalistic qualities.

insecurity...humans are filled with it.

Good question bt the same can be said bout other religions or beliefs, i think ppl think christians are judgemental koz christians appear sure n confident of their faith n nway, in life dont ppl just love to hate the most confident ppl, they always viewd as a threat.n true we cant judge. bt i thnk christians r trying to help n their desires to help are misinterpretted as an attack koz its like telling the other person ur belief is wrong, n so who likes to be told their wrong, no one!

It's not that simple, I'm catholic but I agree with some things from other religions. I think that depends on the people.
And generally I think they're all judgemental in some way.
Have a star.

Yes and arrogant too to think that they are the only ones entering heaven. We muslims hope to go to heaven but show me one muslim who says I am going to heave. Never.
We always use the words inshallah, (by god's will)
words that they find in their bible.
