It's the only thing that's ever seemed important.

I always had a negative attitude when I used to try to draw, even though I loved art at a young age. I could understand the basics and stuff, but my hands wouldn't do what my mind could 'see'.

After 3 art classes, I've found that I'm much improved! I think one drawing of just a high-heel shoe, an acrylic cube and a plaster hand made my day! I'd been in class for 4 hrs. one day and brought my drawing home, set it up on the counter to look at it later... When I went to look at it, I stumbled over a chair 3 x's [!] because I didn't know who'd put THAT picture there. It was pretty good and I didn't believe that I'd done it.

One's work looks so much better from a distance! Art is really an eye-candy for me and I love it alot.

You've got some tremendous paintings there! :^) Much success to you; best wishes!

I don't mean to sound argumentative, but nothing MADE me want to become an artist. I began drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil, and always saw the world with an artist's eye. Most of my father's siblings are artists and I was encouraged to express myself from day one. I have always known that I am an artist. It's almost like asking, "Why do you breathe?" I can't help it.

Hope I've answered your question.
