When something good happens in the world it is always the doing of god. When something bad happens we don't ever say god did it. Or maybe people do and just say that line I hate, he has his reasons. If people would put divine intervention out of their heads and make everyone resposible for his or her own actions I really think the world would be a better place. Everytime I hear someone tell me god has his plan and god knows what hes doing it eats me up inside that people believe god is interviening with our lives. I know it is my opinion and I know I should probably just keep my mouth shut but I can't. I am not a hateful or mean person, I just don't believe in god. If you saw me on the street you would probably assume I am some sort of religious person because I am such a nice guy. I have morals and believe everyone should be treated with respect unless they otherwise prove to me that they should not. Take the world as it is and don't try to play your own divine twist on it by adding supernatural beings and you will find that we are just here, there is no purpose, and we are the product of random accidental mutations. Just live people, LIVE!!!!

Ever heard of the Red Cross? Ever heard of a Church, or a Doctor or a Police Officer or a Firefighter? Those are "God's Creations." The proof is in the pudding, man! We ARE God's intervention. We just have to OPEN OUR EYES AND OUR MINDS to SEE it! But we're to busy looking for ways to discredit God, because we didn't get the little G.I. Joe toy we wanted so bad when we were 8 years old, so now we hate God for it.

God is truly loving but he is not a babysitter at your beck and call.
Jesus taught us by his life, death and resurrection who God was and how he works in our lives. He also taught us how to pray. He gave us the Lord’s Prayer as our model of prayer. Following this model it should not be ‘my will be done’ when we pray but rather ‘Thy will be done’. Let us not question the wisdom of God if he does not grant our petition. Let us just ask for the wisdom and grace to accept what God cannot change.
God cannot change the biological and physical laws he created because if he did there will be anarchy and chaos. For example, if he restored an amputee’s limb how will God answer the prayer of a prosthetics doctor who has been praying for patients? If I ask God to give me clear weather tomorrow because my grandson will have a birthday party, how will God respond to the farmer praying for rain on the other side of the mountain? If a brick is about to hit me, God will not change the laws of gravity. If he did, we could have a worldwide catastrophe. Want more examples? I can give you more but I think I have made my point.
However, this doesn’t mean that God doesn’t answer prayer. All prayer is answered but not always in the way we hope or expect. God always lovingly hears our prayers, and in all things works for good for those who love him (cf. Rom. 8:28). The prayers that he always says yes to are those petitions which help us get to heaven. After all that is God’s plan for us.

God compensating for people’s evil actions through supernatural intervention 100% of the time? Imagine that. for instance, if a drunk driver causes an automobile accident, God would have to keep him and the people in the other automobile from getting harmed, for there would be many people who could possibly be caused to suffer from the accident or the death / injury of those involved in the accident. God would have to keep the drunk driver from crashing into power lines, buildings, etc. because these things would cause innocent people to suffer.
in such a world, God would be like a bad parent who enables a wayward child’s destructive behavior. there would be no consequences for one’s actions, and as a result no one would learn integrity, purity, honor, responsibility, or self-control. there would be no “good consequences” for right behavior, no “bad consequences” for wrong behavior. what would people become except more deviant and sinful?

He does but it is limited to some degree by the fact that he gave us free will. I believe that God draws lines beyond which evil cannot tresspass. God did not stop the Holocaust from occurring - but he did bring the Nazis to defeat. God did not stop the attack on the Twin Towers - but many lives were spared because of the timing of the attack, because many did not go to work on time, because many people got out of the buildings before they collapsed, etc. God didn't prevent my cousin from getting cancer. He did however save his life when we asked him to.
It is also true, as another poster pointed out, that we are created to intervene in the world. It is our job to practice mercy toward our fellows and to strive to make the world a better place.

Technically he did by sending his only begotten Son into the world. Now is the age of choice(i.e." Do you believe him or not?"). I also believe that God does intervene whenever he wants. In fact if God was not intervening on a consistent basis, behind the scenes, we wouldn't be here.

God has constantly intervened throughout six thousand plus years of sinful man's history. He sent Moses, He sent Jesus, etc. Now we have His Holy Word the Bible to guide us in the ways to go.
God answers avery prayer. But He does so according to HIS will and not ours.
THY will be done, Father.

Please see my response to your latter question. He does intervene.
He said He would, and He does. He just isn't active where there is not faith - in the way you mean.
