Look in you're owners manual. It should say 5w30 or 10w30.Use only oil with API approved and is marked MS-9214. And if you're vehicle is using flex fuel, use 5w30 oil for flex fuel vehicles made especialy for flex fuel E-85 usage.

Whatever the manual calls for. Recomendation: Add one quart of lucas oil stabilizer in place of one quart of oil, this additive is the best on the market to prevent dry starts and additional wear on your cylinder walls.

changing the fluid ought to easily reason extra harm then stable. With that many miles on it you do no longer comprehend if it had customary upkeep. changing very thick previous fluid with new skinny fluid ought to enable slippage and bypassing and in a worse case difficulty might keep the tranny from performing in any respect. i might first verify the place the leak is and check out getting it repaired as quickly as you ought to. in case you have it repaired ask them to verify the fluid if it seems decently sparkling and in stable shape then exchange it if no longer i might in simple terms have the leak repaired and force it.
