"Christians are telling me that God is not 'JEALOUS' of man?"
Trying to state it properly and accurately here:
God is jealous of those who seek after other god's, to which He says that they aren't even gods. People made them up. And He doesn't like those He calls 'His people' to go after these 'strange gods'.
"are those Christians actually claiming that other Gods exist and are in competition with thier GOD?"
I don't know what the other Christians have told you, but I would tell you that there are no other gods, just those that other people have made up.
"Doesnt thus kind of negate the concept that there is only one God"
It would if they meant that there are actually other gods.
"or is the One God idea sorta like the Super Bowl Championship where the winner gets to proclaim the self as Number ONE?"
God does not have any real competition. He expressed what He wanted so as to make it clear that He is the only true God.
"is this what Christians are trying to say when they tell me God IS NOT jealous of MAN?"
You'll have to see if they answer you. I would tell you things that are not going along those lines. The desire to come to God comes from God. The sin nature is naturally against God. Only those who God wants are the one's who can respond to Him.

Mans own knowledge will be the death of him.
I think God knew what he was talking about when he said that we could not handle the truth.
I think that God is God, he knew no other before him.
I believe that God is Jealous of anything you worship that is Other than him.
He even says he is a Jealous god, and he wants no others before him...how much simpler can you get?
I dont care if you call him Allah, or whatever...thats part of what you need to figure out.
Do you believe or not. ?? Dont ask so many questions and strengthen your faith. If you dont stand for something you will fall for anything. :) Take Care-Rachel.

Which God died and was resurrected and lives this very day?
God was not is not and never will be jealous of any man. In the bible it claims God is a Jealous God but when you read it in context, it refers to jealousy as like a jealous lover or parent...not a sportsman or competitor.

God can never be jeaous of man at all...he created man and he nourishes man to help him sustain the world and also for many other reasons but due to worldly bondage and irrelevant desires man is the one who goes astray, so here he has to rescue man from sin...please take my advice friend, if god was jealous of man, then people like leornado da vinci and alexander graham bell woudnt have existed!!

Why would God be Jealous of man? He made him. As far as the rest of your...whatever it is...diatribe...the religion of Christianity does not teach polytheism. It clearly states in many different places of the Bible that there is only one God. I wish you well, and a pot of hot coffee! You sound like you need it.

The Bible states he is a jealous God. I don't blame him, I would get a little tired of some one asking a rock for help rather than ask me to help, when I know I could help them and knowing the rock could not help them.

God is not jealous OF man. That would be envy.
God is jealous FOR man, because only in worship of the one who created man can man be what he was created for.
