i doubt its possible to unify all religions into 1. coz each religions have different teachings.... for example, things taught in Buddhism is very different from Christianity or Islam or Hinduism.
i feel that its more important to understand all religions & respect their teachings rather than unify all religions. coz then each religion would want to have an upper hand in the unification.

That's what christianity is, the easiest way to convert new members of a faith is by absorbing their beliefs. If you removed all of the pagan and earlier Mediterranean myths from christianity what would you actually have left?

... and beat the crap out of each other. There's no way the world's religions could coexist in close proximity.
