I give to 4 agencies which feed and educate hungry poor children, and I feed my three starving children every day...At least they eat like they were starving...

The hard work of one person does more than the prayers of millions.
Peace.

Well scientific studies have proved that prayer does not work.

While commons sense tells you that giving someone actual food does.

So this is a bit of a no brainer. Keep up the good work and don't waste any valuable time in prayer.

Actions speak louder than words.

I guess then you must not have heard the lord answer you, and tell you to impart enough of your substance to the starving child you prayed about so that child could eat and live also.
Not near enough people seem to hear his voice because there are more than enough people who he has given plenty to that no one in the whole world should starve.

in my views, the child (person) who feed and pray for starving child will live longer. since he not only prays but does the action too.

Perhaps it is more loving to pray to God to give you the resources as well as the generosity to feed as many starving children as possible.

If all people would do that, I think we could actually wipe out starvation.

Depends on the state of the child and the amount of food and the nutrition of the food.

Omitting all that information, the latter is much more likely to live.

Of course, a Christian would do both. We go to God and He tells us to love our neighbor. Doesn't loving our neighbor include helping to feed children? How do we explain ourselves to God in prayer if we don't do what He commands?

I couldnt have said it better about faith and good works....God gives us the desire to help others...one person CAN make a difference..and if you pray in agreement with another it says you can produce 1000x the results not 2x the results of praying alone.

Last time I checked, prayers are not edible. Likewise, prayer simply doesn't work any better than any other form of positive thinking-- ever.
