They dont think. Most of the answers will be that "these people need to stop wasting their lives" or they will quote the bible saying how its not to late to be saved.

I find it laughable (no pun intended) that Penn and Teller are so arrogant to believe what they are saying without even getting the stories straight.

The archeological evidence to support the Bible is unprecedented. For example, ever heard of the Hittites? Well the Bible knew about them while know it all loud mouths like these shulbs were saying it was an invention of biblical writers.

The Palace at Susa mentioned in Daniel, same thing. I could go on all day. These two buffoons are just spouting the same drivel as all the others that take what they know from cnn and the New York Times.

edit-- Honestly if they wish to be skeptics fine but what is the sense in attacking with an unloaded weapon shouting "bang bang" and expecting people to take them seriously?

I've seen it before. I understood most of what they were saying til the "Don't read the Bible for a moral code" part.

See, this is where our contradictions come in. I know all the passages about stoning people to death, and killing people for not doing something, or for doing something wrong.

Of course, you have to align that up with the commandment for not killing, which doesn't make sense.

We're not allowed to kill other people, but all those passages are there, and put there by the same God.

You can point out a lot of other contradictions, but that's all you can do is point them out. You can't tell me what they mean, why they're there or anything else.

I watched the video and agree with the theory that Scripture unprovable is junk, however the things Jesus preached work and work very well, so, we should not 'throw out the baby with the bathwater', we should learn the lessons originally offered. Which amongst many others are that mankind can make his own hell if he doesn't share without ties or seek personal gain off the backs of others without empathy being a guiding force.

It's not the first time I've seen it.

I did not think that this was very good either. They are typical in their understanding of the Bible. I have heard large men with big voices before, they depend on their boisterousness to get points across, and not too many brains.

You know what it reminded me of? A current affairs show! You know, the ones where they show one side of the story, over exaggerate absolutly everything, get some guy with the tiniest level of education and put a bookcase behind him so that we take his word for law. Honestly, I think that the entire thing was laughable and would be surprised if anyone actually took it seriously. It was good for a laugh though!

You may find a few people who say that their is not evidence of the exodus or the noahs flood, yet you will find archaeologists who say they do have evidence for exodus and noahs flood. So what they said don't really prove anything, but if you want to believe them good 4 you, but that don't mean it's right.

I think these two are NOT Bible scholars and they really should leave hermeneuetics to those people who are educated in that particular discipline. Let them go back to doing comedy, which is what THEY are good at - usually.

Amazing what people will do to make fun of GOD but a time wil come when they will be held accountable for everything they did. Now they are heroes but what a sad life to live and never know JESUS CHRIST as your personal Savior and then be able to spend eternity with JESUS but they will go to where their master is the devil unless they repent.
