Why do you think there is?
Ages past people have debated this question, and opposing views will always remain. Many people simply develop ideas based on what they know, therefore perspective or teaching lead their religious belief. The reality is that all of us, even non believers, believe in something (non believers simply believe in not believing).

I, YOU, NOBODY ... HAS EVER SEEN GOD!!!! Nobody!
He has NEVER been seen or heard by ANYBODY!
We (not me) only believe because others told us too! We're born and grow up hearing everybody talk about a god they've never seen, and like lemmings, we just follow the rest.
I have NEVER seen a god and neither has any other human being, living or dead, on the face of the Earth! Nobody!
Try and remember that. It's too early for me to be drinking...

there is simply no good reason to think so, as far as i can tell. i've looked within and without, and the only place i find gods is within other people.

The same reason that I don't believe in unicorns, or the flying spaghetti monster, or the celestial teacup, or Bigfoot, or the Lochness monster, or ghost, etc.....
