Aside from the Noahs ark story and the story of David Vs. Goliath etc. Do they ever talk about why the Mosaic laws were set up? or the Miracles of Elijah or Elisha? For example how the dead man simply touched the bones of Elisha and the man was brought back to life?

I've experienced relatively little familiarity of "Scripture" in Churches. They tend to think the New Testament qualifies as scripture in places like Paul’s letters where he says scripture is good for teaching, rebuking etc. but what they don't understand is that he was referring to the Jewish scriptures not his letters, many of which weren’t written yet.

All this was predicted long ago.
Isaiah 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

I'm convinced that Christianity is here to destroy the faith of as many as possible by supporting senseless arguments and endless strife. When people get fed up with the hypocrisy of these modern day Pharisees the faith will collapse except for two groups. Fanatic fundamentalist and spiritually attuned people that know being born again is more than a verbal pledge to God and involves far more than the modern church teaches.

I don’t say this in judgment; I say it in love and an honest apprehension of a dangerous mindset.

In my Church, there are 3 readings from the Bible. The first 2 are usually from the Old Testament, and the 3rd is always from the New Testament.

A few months ago our church began a Wednesday night study of the Bible starting in Genesis and working through the Old Testament.
We are currently in Numbers.

When I went to church NEVER! Obviously they taught us the stories of Noah and Genesis and Daniel and the lions den but they skip over the rest. They try to focus on the NT because if they actually taught the OT people wouldn't believe in the NT.

Usually when the preacher is giving his sermon, he may make a reference from the Old Testament. He also goes into detail about the passage and apply it to every day life circumstances. Yes al the things you mentioned have been used in sermons I have heard

Christianity like any other has denominations like catholics protestants anglicans orthodox all followers of christ. For some Bible is the main service with readings and meditations, catholics mostly read bible morning and eve before retiring and psalm 91. is the most powerful to recite before retiring for the day.

Yes, they do. Some churches use the lectionary, and the pastor will preach a message on the old testament reading.

It's up to the pastor.

The Church has got its work cut out just sermonizing on the teaching in the New Testament - and it doesn't do that particularly well.

Fairly equally. You cannot fully understand/appreciate the NEW without the OLD.
