I think we have a Heavenly Mother too....God keeps her a secret from the world....She is His world and He protects her loveliness from the crassness of carnal mankind.

NO! God is a spirit. Has never taken shape or form to lead us to believeing one or the other. God is no more of a man or woman then the desk I'm typing on.
When God first created Adam, he had both genders. God states he created Adam as an ideal image.
When Eve was created, god seperated the genders to make man and woman whole when together.

God is a spirit, neither male or female. The bible uses the terms 'he', 'him, ect, because back then that is what people understood. Men really were dominant so they found it easier to associate God as male. However, the bible is very clear that God is a spirit without a gender. Humans in general are made in the image of God but men and women take on different traits from him.

well, if "God" is spirit and manifests as a human "God" can manifest as whichever gender of human "God" wants (if "God" wants). just because humans are primates and primate societies (generally) submit to an alpha male doesn't mean that "God" is limited by that base instinctual animal behavior.
PS. i get the impression that if Jesus were to return to Earth as a woman most Christians would reject Her. not because She would say or do anything evil but because She would be "God" with a vagina instead of a penis. what an interesting test of Love and Loyalty that would be.
PPS. well well, there's at least 1 person (thumbs down) who imagines he can dictate to "God" which gender "God" must manifest.

God is neither male or female but both. And women do hold a great power that men will never possess, the power to carry life and give birth to life.

I think God is ungendered (or omnigendered). And I'm pretty sick of hear He and His and The Father's...That's why I call Him/Her He/She. God is as much a mother as He/She is a father.

Uh...no, or we would all be in hell already. A woman's touch can be very gentle but cross her the way humanity did God and...you're toast. I am a woman. Be very thankful I am not God.
Good example...can't even crack a joke. That thumbs down alone would've gotten you an eternity of brimstone.
