Far too many people say such things as "There is a high rate of suicide among Mormon women" or "Mormon women have more depression" or something like that, and I want to know where they get their statistics to back this up?
And I don't want anything abouto UTAH, I want MORMON. The two are not the same thing. Utah is not all Mormon and not all Mormons live in Utah.

Someone once said, there are lies, d**ned lies, and statistics.
Utah women on prozac is not Mormon women depressed, but that's what the anti-Mormons like to spin.
They refuse to be swayed by anything resembling the truth.

Yeah, I've heard that Utahn women rank pretty high for Prozac use, and had that construed that Mormon women are more depressed than non-Mormon women.....

People often hear statistics about Utah and assume they apply to Mormons. You are right to recognize that those two kinds of statistics are not equivalent.

Short answer: The obvious is actually true. Mormons are not more likely to be depressed/suicidal.
(By the way...jamie p's implying that spousal abuse is more common among Mormons than among "Christians" is petty and naive. No good Mormon would ever hit his wife.)

Props to you for asking. I don't know any mormon women who have committed suicide. I did know a couple of guys that committed suicide though.....
Anyway, I'm not depressed. Are you depressed? My group of bestest buddies (all mormon women) is one of the silliest happiest groups of gals you could ever meet. All we do when we're together is laugh.

That not all Mormon Women are depressed All I know When My mom was Mormon she was always depressed. When My dad was Mormon beat my Mom. Now My dad and mom are happy. We only need Christ not church for happiness.
Plus there is not proof that all Mormon women are depressed. That's wrong argument to bring up.
