Ok i have 8 bridesmaids and I would like to get them something different as gifts. I don't want to do jewelry or a purse or a tote bag. Any ideas? I'm open to suggestions!

I liked the whiskey flask idea. The other ideas are nice and all but just the regular stuff. How about a gift certificate for a hotel room to use 6 months from now for the bridesmaids and the groomsmens? Just repeat a big party at the bar and no one has to drive home?

Hmmm. How much are you willing to spend on these ladies? You could organize some kind of girls day out, with dinner somewhere nice, a spa treatment, or something fun like a Passions party. (Look into that for your bridal shower too, they're fun and kinky).
Also, if your bridesmaids are all different personality wise and you do decide to get them all something material, don't just order a bulk of soap/lotion baskets. Personalize each gift. Basket gifts aren't a bad idea, but make them yourself and make each one as different as each one of your friends. They will love that you took the time to analyze them as individuals.
Also, pictures and scrapbooks are meaningful. Maybe get them all scrapbooking kits, but make the first couple pages yourself. I did this for a friend of mine, and she absolutely loved it. Good luck.

Journal with picture frame cover - insert photo of your or their choice

Book of poetry

a pretty Tea set, or sampler of different teas and a mug

Coffees and a mug

A velvet or other nice fabric decorator pillow or pillow cover with your wedding information embroidered on one side.

(One of the nicest Bridesmaids gifts I ever received was a pretty 1 inch or 1-1/2 inch wide silver bracelet with the Bride and Groom's names and wedding date engraved inside)

There was a website - don't know if it's still around - that allowed you to create custom perfumes based upon their tastes and personality types. My bridesmaids flipped!

How about giving them a thank you card? You can express your gratitude to them and it will be something really special too. If you think it's too cheap, you can add in a nice brooch too.
