My passport expires in 2009, but I hear there are delays in getting renewals. How much does it cost and can I do the whole thing on the internet?

No, you can't on the internet. You have to go to the post office, they take your pic and send in the form you fill out and your pic to Uncle Sam and it takes about 6 weeks to get it in the mail. I think the whole thing costs about $100

Contrary to waht that person is saying down there ... you can get it done by mail. Without going to the post office

It all depends on when you got it and the condition of the passport.

Go to this site and it will give you all the info and forms you need.

Do you have one of those new fangled world passports, or does this question relate to a particular country?
