:( That's really pathetic, ya know?

My favorite phrase, live and let live.

Maybe you should take it to heart.

You have to check the links and read the answers to know what I mean.

If I'm not interesting enough for you to answer my questions, then DON'T. But I do ask serious questions. I'm not always compelled to do so, but why do you care? And there are the people who are never compelled to do so, like the person in my links. Why is that so bad?

It isn't just in R&S, people are mean in all categories. They can be all mean and tough because they are probably unhappy, unfulfilled, and online they have anonymity.
You have proven you are not stupid (I don't always agree, but I do respect your opinions)
Another phrase could be "As you sow so shall you reap"
Keep on being yourself no matter how you are received by some of the others here

I am a very spiritual person, and I don't treat people badly, I'm a very nice person..That being said-It's justifiable people would be a bit confused at your question , as it seems to hav eno relevance to the topic of spirituality or religion. You really need to look at what you are asking and realize the question isn't necessarily going out to the religious or spiritual people-but it is just supposed to be on topic. Your posts were asking about your own stupidity. You should reevaluate your own self worth, and not ask questions that degrade yourself. You basically gave people permission to hurt you, as the insult started by you towards yourself.

***************
Okay, you didn't answer them, but you hav eto know that just because the topic is for religion and spirituality-doesn't stop the other population from getting in. You also hav eto admit those question sare a waste of space, and very troll like. People wont respect questions that are not serious. You can't ask people if you are stupid-How will they know or what will they base their answers from....It's a nonsensical question to gain attention. If you can't see that, then I think there's a lot of maturing that needs to be done. Yes it's wrong for peple to be mean, but the question itself was not placed in the right category nor was it detailed asking anything that was real.

Because they are absolutely sure that they are right. They come here and try to convince other people who are equally sure that they are right to think something different. Since there is no doubt in their mind about how right they are, the people who think something different must be wrong and since they won't be convinced to change they must be stupid. So all 10,000 sides are absolutly convinced that everyone else here can't grasp what is totally obvious to them. A lot of name calling ensues after a while.

It's not just r&s.

You get those types everywhere.

Not everyone is mean here, either.

I'm not.

Lots of the people I've met here aren't either.

It's unfortunate that the ones that are tend to travel in packs, though...

EDIT: There are probably countless reasons why, arrogance, insecurity, general bad attitudes, misplaced aggression,...

Some very nice answers there.

Ya know some people are just raised to be jerks. Don't pay no mind to them.

What's the deal with you? Why are you asking such things?

When you ask questions like that, many people automatically think you're a troll and instantly think of a non-serious answer. Sometimes the answers are funny, but sometimes there's no humour in them at all. Ask serious questions to get serious answers. K?

ah well, i get a bit nasty sometimes. i guess i vent some angst here by answering questions which i find insulting and/or stupid. when i do so it gives me some cheap satisfaction to have made some or another point in a snide fashion.

mostly i tease the Christian Fundies. i think they're my favorite target b/c i used to be one and they remind me of and embarrass me with my past. poking at their arrogant stupidity is like poking at my own. i dislike them because i loath that creepy Fundy i used to be.

People here aren't necessarily mean. They are just the most outspoken and passionate group of people that you will find on this forum. And besides, most of the topics that are discussed here are VERY hot topics and people really get emotional about them.

Maybe you should let us know why you feel that way.
Do you have a personal experience that make you feel that all the people in religion & spirituality mean?
Are you sure all the answer came from people into religion?

Because, deep down inside, we know that we really know nothing at all. It becomes exposed and projected to the rest of the world when we answer questions. Oh, I'm sorry...did I just speak for everyone?
