God have knowledge of what is happening and have power to stop this. So, answer is yes, God allows this to happen. Why, because this world is world of trial not of justice. Justice will be extablished in hereafter. If God start interfering the free will of mankind, how does He test us and if test is not there, reward and punishment is meaningless.

Yes.

Does it bother you? If yes, then you have not remedied it either, and also have not transcended the limitations of the burdens of material existence.

If material bodies were of great importance to protect, God would never have allowed them to have fallen into the hands of oppressive people. What is of great importance is to know that none of these things can touch or harm your soul in any way.

Though health is important, for what it can yield in aiding yourself and others, surely eternal nature must outweigh temporary life in importance. I see nothing wrong in any victim except they do not know they are still perfect despite what has transpired superficially.

This seems harsh, but how else can one reconcile the miseries of the past? It would not be possible and would cause those miseries to persist forever... So forget the past except to overcome its limitations and angelic in transcendence of material bodies.

God bless.

"The more difficulties one sees in the world the more perfect one becomes. The more you plough and dig the ground the more fertile it becomes. The more you cut the branches of a tree the higher and stronger it grows. The more you put the gold in the fire, the purer it becomes. The more you sharpen the steel by grinding the better it cuts. Therefore, the more sorrows one sees the more perfect one becomes. That is why, in all times, the Prophets of God have had tribulations and difficulties to withstand. The more often the captain of a ship is in the tempest and difficult sailing the more greater his knowledge becomes. Therefore I am happy that you have had great tribulations and difficulties . . . Strange it is that I love you and still I am happy that you have sorrows. ('Abdu'l-Bahá, Star of the West, vol. XIV, no. 2, p. 41)"

If god ran around like Superman and beat up all the criminals, if he made everyone immortal and perfectly healthy for all time, if he provided all the food and all of the shelter and gave you clothes and walked you across the street, and tied your shoes for you and wiped your bottom, gave you infinite money and then gave you whatever you wanted anyway, what is it your supposed to do?
What purpose would you serve?
Why would you learn? Why would you be any better of a person? How would you matter?
We are the ones who are supposed to make our world a better place. Rape, abuse, murder is what happens when we fail to fix our own problems. If this world were perfect then what do you need a heaven for? This world is ours to make better or worse. We claim our own achievements so its only fair that we claim our failures as well and stop blaming god for our screw ups.

Something that I have learned is that if you are sinning and ignoring that you are or that people are telling you that what you are doing is bad, He may get your attention in a scary way. Because by repeating a sin over and over, we are showing non-Christians that doing bad things is ok. So in their minds, they think they don't need to become a Christian to keep doing what they what, what's the point. So I believe He does allow them to happen, but He would never give us more than we can handle. Plus it's a kind of a faith test as well, we need to believe that God is always with us, to take care of us. Bad things happen, we live in an imperfect world. It sucks and we all hate it, but we just have to know that He loves us with an unconditional love and that we will be in a better place someday.

Also the whole free will thing. We all have choices to make, good or bad, hurting people or not, we get them. Free will & knowing that God has a plan is kinda confusing, but I just figure that God knows what He's doing.

Remember, every hurt has a purpose.

Oh my, not the easiest question to answer. It's not a simple yes or no. Sin entered the world by human will. We see things like sickness, crime of all sorts, injustices, death, pain....you name it, as a result. It's a shame, but it breaks God's heart even more than ours because we are His creation and His love is far beyond anything we're capable of. He doesn't want rape, abuse, murder, etc. to happen, but when it does, He's right there reaching out. So why doesn't He stop it? It's called free-will. We all enjoy free-will and wouldn't give it up for anything. The problem is, those who would do us harm also have free-will. God can't take it away from them without taking it away from everyone. God's not a dictator, He's a God of love. I know of many times He's laid people on the hearts of believers for them to pray so that He could intervene. I know of times He's called me to pray and then acted in that situation. I don't know if the times when people are hurt, is the result of believers not praying when they were called to. But I know God is God and He can use our hurt to help bring healing to others.
In my life, I've gone through alot of pain, some was mentioned in the question. I wondered what was the good of coming through all this. But one night I shared my life story with the youth group I was leading. You could have heard a pin drop in the room as I spoke. And when the night was over, several teens came to me and talked, cried and prayed. Praise God, He used my pain to bring healing to others and to let them know they are deeply cared for.

NO!

The Christian God, unlike the gods that we read in mythology and other gods, is a God of life.

"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life" (John 14:6).

In Philosophy, there is the Law of Contradiction (also called Law of non-contradiction) by Aristotle. He says that "one cannot say of something that it is and that it is not in the same respect and at the same time".

With this, Jesus is Life. Thus, He can not be life. All we have to do is to surrender our will to Him.

Rape, abuse, murder, etc. happens because instead of surrendering our will to God, we surrender it to ourselves. Instead of choosing the right God, we have made our own gods - the world (greed to things in the world such as money, power and fame), the flesh (our fallen human nature and lust to both material and spiritual) and the devil (pertaining to the sins from satan's fall such as pride).

Our lives, as much as it belongs to us, also belongs to others. For no man is an island (John Donne).

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam

In the beginning, man was given the choice between obeying God, retaining his free will and being in relationship with God or the choice of disobeying God, thereby surrendering his free will to satan and separating himself from his Creator. Rape abuse and murder happen because mankind chose to make the world this way. You might say to yourself "I didn't make the world like this" but the truth is we all, by staying in rebellion against God, make this world a place where evil thrives. If God stepped in every time someone was about to choose to murder or rape, He would have to step in and stop everyone from lying, cheating, stealing, using each other for sexual gratification etc. Do you want God to turn you into a mindless robot? Because that is what you are expecting Him to do if you want Him to stop people from committing evil against each other.

An interesting side point is that the world we live in is the only type of world where love is possible. Love is a choice, not a feeling despite what people might say or believe. It is the choice one makes to seek the best for another in preference to yourself. It is the sacrifice of self desire. Without the opportunity to choose our own selfish desires over the welfare of others (evil such as theft rape murder)), we would not have the opportunity for love. The greatest act of love in history was for God Himself to come to earth and allow Himself to be tortured to death at the hands of His own creation in order that one day we wouldn't have to live with the consequences of our preference to choose evil. That sounds to me like a God that does care and cares a great deal about us and what we do to each other.

God has given options of doing good or bad to every human being for he has created them but how the person exercises this option is humans discretion. The human is responsible for what he does in this life as a prelude to the life hereinafter and he will be held accountable for everything good or bad on the Day of Judgment as the life in this world is only a test for the life hereinafter. So things like rape, abuse and murder etc. will continue to happen till end of the world on account of options exercised by humans and the rewards and punishments will also follow in this world but for every act that a human does he will render an account on that Day when his own body will testify against him and he will not be able to hide anthing from his Creator for a human may hide anything to escape or mitigate the punishment in this world. God has forbidden bad acts and sanctioned good acts but the option to exercise this is with humans in this short span of test life given to them.

God allows us free will. He will not stop us from doing things. The people who do those things are evil people, and he could stop it from happening and does if it is something that we are or will not be able to handle. God is not in the horrible things in life. God is the peace and calm we feel after such horrible things happen to us. He is the one who helps keep us sane in such a crazy world. Like it says in the bible, There was an earth quake, but God was not in the earth quake. Then there was a terrible fire, but God was not in the Fire. Then there was calm, and a small still voice... That is where God is, He is in that calm voice, that gives you strength and hope.

If God didn't allow people to make their decisions, then they would be complaining about not having free will. Now that there is free will, they complain that God allows bad things to happen. God is only being fair, but are we?

Yes. What we have is the manifestation of why it was a bad idea for Adam to take the fruit and eat it. God said, " Don't touch the tree", and they did it anyway.

So we inherit what makes people so terrible.

God promises better things once all this is over.

I could show you where, But I would have to know if you are even interested. So many are not.
