No way! Women who work out with weights get defined and tight muscles. It's a misconception that most women will turn out looking like guys. Weights and cardio together = hot body!

Generally speaking, women's strength is orientated to doing an activity over a long period of time while men's strength is for short burst strength.
As for who is stonger, men or women, it depends on the situation.
In the 1960s the Americans first started sending people in space, all of them men. They realised if they were going colonise space they would have to send women...soooo....they put the women through the same rigorous testing process you see in the movie the right stuff. The conclusion, dump the men and just send women.
Women don't build up really big muscles as easily as men. In addition very strenous exercise will disrupt a women's period cycle and reproduction (it is true, though it is also something feminists don't like to mention).
Anyway, the best exercise for women is one with many repititions of lighter weights. Muscle tone, and general strength will be increased (Think Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2...sexy but deadly). Though it is not wrong for women to do heavy weight training.

"power lifting" or lifting really heavy weights with little reps builds muscle mass. No, it's not recommended unless you want a muscular body. Lifting light weights with a lot of rep would do for a woman. It burns fat and defines the body.

a 'heavy' workout must be done in moderation to only acchieve weightloss (or maintain the current weight and not gain more)
if you do heavy workouts to look muscled (like a man) then that's just sick

I'm confused.
But a women getting toned is not wrong.
Neither is her becoming like a female bodybuilder. It's just that extreme is less-liked.

It's not bad at all, it is a great way to get your body tone, you would have to do it for many years and take steroids to get "buff"
It is the most underrated thing a girl can do

It's not exactly wrong, but in general, it kinda lessens the sex appeal of the woman.
