It's fun, exciting, entertaining, and also scary because you are putting yourself out there and vulnerable. All in all, it's a rush, and once you get over your fear and have fun with it it's great and addictive! Plus, people telling giving you praise and telling you you are a good singer is always a plus! Well, take care ☺

Excellent question! As a Church musician who just happens to be on the autistic spectrum, I can not only sight-read (sight-sing) any part from a vocal score but, as a multi-instrumentalist who can handle guitars, piano, and drums, also improvise an instrumental accompaniment to complement the entire vocal score, on the fly. I take my responsibilities in songleading quite seriously, yet quite joyfully; music is to me a pleasure, as to many other musicians, NT and otherwise. For some singers, music could be considered in their blood, as their parents became the first of a string of music teachers and coaches; my late mother was a decent if not outstanding pianist, and I took up where she left off.
Lord only knows how I developed a penchant for handling praise songs after the typical pop star; I've been compared to a number of acts in the secular music field.

Because usually, they were born with a natural ability to perform. My daughter at age three, used to go around the house with a hairbrush in front of mouth, pretending it was a mike.
Others have to teach themselves to be relaxed in front of people and it can be done, with practice. If you don't enjoy it at all, don't make yourself do it. But if you really want to be able to be "a natural" start with singing in front of a friend, then family, then others. Gradually lead yourself into it and you will find out the wonderful feeling of giving other people the gift of song.
You cannot make yourself be something your not. On the other hand those that were literally born whith the talent to want to sing in front of others, do it because they love it.

I think it's a form of showing off...although in a positive way . People like hearing a good singers and good singers like to show people what they can do. It's sort of a win / win situation.
Additionally, some people love to sing, so hand them a mic and off they'll go, audience or not.

at my point of view i think people are more into music.one can be brave in anything but while it comes in front of people one needs confidence , no shyness and belief in himself.practice and experience also shows ones enjoyment in music.music has to be felt . not only in music but in everything dedication is required
