Satan is a boogeyman. "Don't do that, or Satan will get you." Just another way for religion to keep the masses in line. Apparently the powers that be have believed, since the beginning of time, that people need the threat of divine retribution in order to behave themselves.

Maybe some people could use that as an excuse. But those who know and believe the Bible know that they are still responsible for their own actions regardless of who or what coaxed them into doing them.
Satan tempts us by stirring up latent sinful desires that are already in us. "But each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires. Then when desire concieves, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death." (James 1:14-15). The problem isn't Satan, it's us. So Satan can never be an excuse for our actions, we are responsible. Anyone who thinks otherwise either doesn't know or doesn't believe the Bible.

Temptations exist, and those who fall prey have neglected their "free will"/mind in favor of their bodily impulses. Basically it falls under the category of choosing to not use the uniquely human qualities, which involve the pre-frontal cortex, in a manner conducive to their's and other's own well being.
It does themselves harm to blame Satan when they're supposed have free will, so they are responsible first. Just because the temptation is real does not excuse becoming a victim of your vice. Everyone must have self-possesion, i.e. trustworthiness, if they do not want to be spiraling out of control.
God bless.

Satan or the Devil doesn't exist. People should be responsible for their own actions. Everyone can be tempted but it's not by satan.

Well satan unsuccessfully tempted Jesus three times and in all points of the law. So do you seriously think that he doesnt tempt me and you?
Jam 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Yeah, probably.
Because if Satan tempts them to do it then they automatically get spiritual support from other religious people who sympathize with them.
Its always easier to blame someone else.
But it was your hand, not Satan's, caught in the cookie jar, right?
That's a really cute avatar!

He is there tempting everyone all the time! Just ignore him and the Bible states that he will flee. He never worries his own children but always tries to discourage Christians.
