A person who is obviously a visitor cannot avoid being approached by well meaning Jehovah's Witnesses at an assembly or convention. Even a person who appears to be a Witness will likely have to endure some small talk with his seat's neighbors.
The best strategy will be for the questioner to appear to a Witness who is either extremely tired or extremely busy. Before and after each session, the questioner could feign sleep. Or, the questioner could make a point of arriving at his seat just as each session begins, and then scurrying away when each session concludes.
If a man, the questioner should be groomed modestly, without a beard or long hair (or a soul patch). He should wear dark shoes (preferably dress shoes), dark socks, dress shirt, necktie, and either a conservative suit or dark dress pants.
If a woman, the questioner should be use cosmetics sparingly and keep her hair relatively simple. She should wear comfortable modest dress clothes, but there is no need to hide the neck, arms, or calves. A knee-length skirt (without long slit) and non-translucent blouse which covers the brassiere is typical among Jehovah's Witnesses. High heeled shoes are not recommended for assemblies and conventions (for practical reasons with the steps and crowds), but some women wear them anyway.
Outlandish hair, multiple ear piercings, piercings other than earlobes, visible tattoos must be avoided. The questioner should bring a NWT bible, a notebook, and a "Sing Praises" songbook. All are available on e-Bay or at a local Kingdom Hall.

The majority of it's actual. Though there are a few matters which might be almost individual selections. But um...why could I desire to willingly dabble in spiritism? I hate wars, so I do not take care of it. I have a tendency to influence transparent from political concerns inside a nation (explanations arguments), premarital intercourse - mistaken in all religions simply permitted via society. Wearing a go - my institution uniform had a go on it and I wore it every day for two years. Don't make mountains out of molehills.

Jehovah's Witnesses dress in suits (for the men) and dresses or skirts and blouses (for the women). They tend to be neatly and conservatively dressed; therefore, dressing outside these parameters will draw attention to yourself.
If you wish to visit and observe, and someone approaches you, simply tell them you are there to observe and nothing more. Just like one poster suggested. That is all.

Simply come. You can simple explain you don't feel like talking if someone wants to talk with you. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, there are times when I don't feel like talking, so I simply find a polite way to express that fact.
As far as not standing out, we do in general wear dressy clothes, IE, in my case a suit and tie.
EDIT
I love the answer mentioning my faith being "such a radical religion". Radical??? Wow who knew love thy neighbor was a radical concept.

Jesus said: “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.” (John 13:35) That is why they come over and talk. No one is Forced to talk, if you say " I would prefer to observe only".. No one is going to walk away whispering about you.

wear your shorts, sandals, and kizz shirt, walk in and attend.. Its simple. They'll probably condemn you to hell, but keep in mind, they're in a mental hell already. If they were happy, they wouldn't need to be in such a radical religion.
